Ports on a freeview recorder

Hey ive got a DIGIHOME DTR 160 GB freeview recorder
Got from argos last year is decent does freeze quite a lot anyways

It ahs a port on the back that says RS232 now i know thats a port for old joysticks etc but as i cannot find the manual what exactly does it do ?? can i upload recordings to computer or is it for an update ?

Anyone find out for me ?

looks like this btw
RS232 is a serial port for software upgrades. There wont be any more for this though.
