mini european adventure, going to have to get 8 different one way tickets to different places so it all adds up. Some nice person pm'd me and said i just needed to go with some ID to the post office and its sorted in 10 mins but if youd rather pay crazy money for booking fees for 10 mins work, then your time is far more valuable than mine! :)

I wasnt the one saying i couldnt be bothered to mess about trying to find out!! There was no info on the post office website about how long it took to process, hence this thread and in doing so ive just saved 8x£5 for the fees my visa card would have incurred. Time well spent, methinks!

fair do's.....

so what airline are you using and to where then, that you have had to make several seperate transactions out of interest, incurring £5 on each flight?.....post office site says you can purchase them instore btw

what are the costs of actually getting the card and then the subsequent top up?

sorry maybe got out of bed the wrongside but here they are

card costs nothing initially but you have to top up £50 when you get it, the card cannot be registered until the day after purchase, the funds will be available upto 2 days after credited and will incur 1.5% fee min £3 upto max £20 all cash withdrawals incur £2 charge

total cost £57.50 for a £50 card

Nay bother

Planning a fortnight in the company of Ryanair unfortunately, but spending 2 days in each place, Brussels, Florence, Berlin, Prague, Bratislava, Oslo, Stockholm. I know ill have to spend a fortune on getting a bus like 50 miles away from each city they say theyre flying to but should get at least one full day in each city! Shame you cant buy all the singles at the same time really then wouldnt have to pay the fees every time you have to book.

Yeah Im gonna head off to the PO in the morning armed with my passport and hopefully get it all sorted if they havent sold out my route by then! Just gonna top it up with whatever will cover the costs of all the flights, its working out at about 40£ each which isnt too bad. argh i think ive just missed out then because the deal ends tomorrow at midnight and my post office is now closed...so if i cant use it until friday then its defunct...

Carbon footprint... what carbon footprint? :whistling:

my gf is currently traveling around europe forthe next few weeks and she has found it reasonably quick and easy by train with a monthly pass, with the odd cheap flight thrown inbetween.......none of which have been with ryan air incidently and none have been over £40. looking forward to catching up with her again 1 october in amsterdam

i would spend a little time seraching some alternatives if i were you if you havnt already:)

I meant the entire trip is £40 per person for the 8 flights... :) but now i have to pay the fees it looks like on top of that but hey its not too bad. Just looked on the PO website it says wait a day to activate if bought online... does that mean if i buy it tomorrow from the PO i might be able to use it the same day?
