Postal Scam-Please be AWARE

Hi All,

I have just received this email. I don't know how true it is but I am posting it to you anyway just in case:

See below......

Subject: Postal Scam

Royal Mail postal scam.

Can you circulate this around especially as Xmas is fast approaching - it
has been confirmed by Royal Mail.
The Trading Standards Office are making people aware of the following scam:

A card is posted through your door from a company called PDS (Parcel
Delivery Service) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and
that you need to contact them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number). DO
NOT call this number, as this is a mail scam originating from Belize. If
you call the number and you start to hear a recorded message you will
already have been billed £15 for the phone call.

If you do receive a card with these details, then please contact Royal Mail
Fraud on 02072396655 or ICSTIS (the premium rate service regulator) at

Sorry, Repeat post.
That's correct, items that claim you can be charged large amounts of money per call are either not genuine or out of date.

It's not true about the "no more than £1.50 per call" thing.

I accidentally called one of these personal number things on my mobile, I was on for 23 seconds before realising what it was - and my phone bill showed the call was £2.30 - 10p per second.
Strange, I was telephoned on my mobile from a similar sounding company and a recorded message was left for me inviting me to phone a number , as the delivery driver was trying yo arrange delivery of a parcel - which I knew nothing about, as I was not anticipating any order coming my way. I did not respond, thank goodness. Be careful of this 1 too.
