Just wondering if anyone can share if they have posted a boxed console before! Sold my Arcade console and is fully boxed.

I'm just wondering what services people have used. I was going to use collect+ but without a weighing scales I'm not sure if the box weighs over 10kg! Not prepped for this! No rush to post it, told them I'm not posting until Tuesday anyway.

Thanks guys, have a good week!

I sold my old elite on Ebay about a month or so ago, I got it insured to the full value what with it being somewhat delicate. Cost me £12 with parcel to go

Further more, had I known about collect+, I would have used that and saved myself 9 quid, lol

I'm pretty sure you will be looking at more then that with insurance, and I think that is highly important with an item such as this.

Thanks guys! the only thing I can compare it to is my measly 10kg dumbells (_;) I guess it's definitely not over 10kg! I'll pay for the highest weight bracket with collect+. Yeah it's just the console boxed with power brick and the leads (no batteries in the controller either!).

Definitely took pictures of the serial numbers etc and the intact warranty sticker and so on! Not getting messed around! Looked after this console so I could make sure it would be able to be sold on! Glad I remembered to take them, I wrapped it so intensely I'd hate to be the one opening it!!

Some products have the weight marked on the box.

Failing that, check out a few etailer websites for the same product - sometimes, on the product page, they have an entry for the products weight.

Edit: Here you go, as suggested by jonny619447, listed as 6Kg.

I've just sold one on here it was 5.2kg with power brick
I used my Hermes to post
Word of warning if you gonna use a third party postal service make sure they don't use city link to pick up your parcel

parcel2ship.co.uk - very cheap.

I've just shipped a double pram weighing 11kg and 1m long boxed for under £9. Impressed so far, even more so if it gets delivered OK!

You will find that the cover doesn't stretch to screens.
Its ok though, because the Xbox 360 I shipped didn't have one (_;)

Oh, ok I used parcel 2 go. And they do. Cost me £12 with insurance so I would of expected a full rebate if it got damaged!
