Is maybe to do with the location you have said the clip is in, when on the original pc it looks for where you got it from (probably stored on that pc) but when you move pc's it still looks for it on the other pc and fails. Store the dvd clip on the stick (if it isn't) and call for it in powerpoint from there.

Thanks Greg but I already saved the clip on the pendrive as well as the pp. Was hoping that I could link it in to play from the pp.

In the ppp are you calling it from the pen drive though.

yes, made a link in the pp, the DVD is on the pen drive but they don't seem to want to co-operate!

Can you not save the file as a run only file using a access viewer so that you do not need the whole access system to run the show?
I have not got access on my home computer but the viewer I down loaded several years ago runs all the ps files I get emailed

The other comp has the same pp version.

The DVD clip is on the pen drive as well as the pp.
The pp is one I have made, already installed on my comp.

File>Publish>package-for-cd.

would the pp still run like a 'normal' pp by clicking to change slides doing this?

all I did was click the mouse

That works fine for each slide, no problem there, it is trying to link the click to the DVD that won't work.
