#4
act of god.........always gotta bring religion in to it, why?
#5
Good luck getting there mate, hopefully you won't get caught up with clearing the backlog
#6
enjoy if you get there.......im sure the lads will get you the dwarf....
#7
Should be ok by then, everywhere seems to be opening tomorrow.

If you have booked a package holiday its covered, not if you booked things seperately though
#8
I knew the ash cloud would come back...

Bookings company said they can only refund flights and not accommodation so I am hoping it'll be cleared again!
#9
Tell them your a athiest and don't accept their reason!

It is my understanding that even when they do reopen all flights are going to concentrate on getting people home first before starting on people leaving the UK.

exactly and why would anyone go on a short break at the moment knowing that they may well have to get back via land routes at major cost?

just because they may open an airport for a day or two doesnt mean they might not close them a day later

seeing all those poor people suffering trying to get back to the uk, I wouldnt dream of going on a holiday at the moment :?

True, those that managed to get a flight out this morning may get stranded now.

Saying that I can't see this being cleared for Thursday now anyway.

I do so hope this is true!

Singapore Airlines have basically now told Aussies to go home and try later in the year. If they ignore, they are on their own with no help. Not sure how much longer they will foot the bill for us....... But I think it's likely to be quite a while before we get away.

I just heard Qantus have just shipped people away from Singapore to somewhere cheaper! I can believe that!

Why don't they call it expectational circumstances beyond their control?
Act of god means nothing to many.

If it carries on for much longer I don't know why they don't look at flying to somewhere like Denmark then ferrying you back to the UK. What a logistical nightmare this could be if it went on for another week or two.
