Anyone got ideas how long these should take? Think its just credit checks, perhaps qualification checks, dont think they would run a CRB.....been provisionally offered a job (subject to these checks) and wondered how long I may be waiting.....I know I should have asked them but I dont really want to call them and bug them, and yes, im really impatient!!!!
oh and I realise diff companies will prob be different...but just thought I would try get an idea
taa :)

If its a governement agency nhs, council etc.. They might still run CRB checks etc, but if its aprivate company, maybe maybe not.... checks can take up to 8 weeks or more....

It can depend upon the detail of the checks..

CRB can take any time between a week and 2 months. reference enquiries are normally quicker.

too much rep given today....will rep tomorrow or next day Im online

Barclays will probably do a full employment history, and will also run your credit history.

If you've been declared bankrupt, defaulted on payments or have CCJs they may not offer a contract.

I just wondered how long these checks take.....unemployment aint fun :x....cheers :)

There's a massive amount of red tape and paperwork required for new starters and banks, when I first started years ago, it was a little easier - since then I've had many waits for new roles.

When you get to be a director, you'll need FSA approval!

I am in the same position as you were in! x

I had these checks done when I transferred over as Barclays decided to in-source.

I think it took at least 2 months for them to do the checks....

what is the pre-employment check system for barclays? I have signed my contract and am awaiting the link to their PES system. It would be helpful to put together all the things they need before they send me their requirements. Thank you in advance :)
