YAY - then we can see who we are playing Boxing day and plan our Christmas around it all!
#3
Wonder who my beloved Sunderland will draw in the opener?

ti's a shame NUFC are in the PandaPops league now as that would have been a rather nice first fixture :)
#4
Mate can we have Scott Dann back?
#5
They usually pitch one of the newcomers in against the big boys first match so expect to see..

Blues v Arsenal
Burnley v Man Utd
or Wolves v Liverpool.
#6
Apparantly Arsenal's first 6 fixtures got leaked and we are facing:

West Ham
Burnley
Chelsea
Bolton
Liverpool
Man City

They do look quite tough but I think facing these teams earlier will benefit us as our team is quite young and may be more tired later in the season. However, Wenger's getting some decent signings like the Ajax captain Vermaelen so I think we will have a good chance next season.

the Gunners begin their campaign on August 15, playing West Ham United at the Boleyn Ground.

I never knew Upton Park was known as this. Never heard that name used before.

That's the actual name of our Stadium, Upton Park is the area it's in.

West Hams first match is Tottenham away, not Arsenal

Ask me that in a few months time.

When we played you boys at the ricoh last season he was by far the best player on the pitch and i said at the time he might be worth a sniff.

No it will take ages for your 10 players to gel plus you have quite a tough pre season so we should win easy.

Have you seen that we're becoming West Milan?

We've been confirmed to have made offers for Jimenez, Mancini, Balotelli & Aquafresca of Inter Milan :w00t:

Very interesting article here about how they put the fixtures together.

Amazing to think that, for example, West Ham being home and away can effect if Norwich are home and away, even though they are over 100 miles apart.

Makes you arealise how difficult it is to compile all the fixtures.

....Bolton Wanderers awaits on September 12.

Then there will be a return to the north east for a tricky Liverpool tie a week later. Arsenal's sixth match is apparently versus Manchester City at home on September 26.

Don't know if its you or Sky but someone needs a geography lesson :whistling:

Manchester United will begin the defence of their Premier League title at home to newly promoted Birmingham.

Carlo Ancelotti's first game in charge at Chelsea will be against Hull at Stamford Bridge as the campaign gets under way on the weekend of August 15.

Liverpool open at Tottenham while Arsenal face Everton at Goodison Park.

Wolves play West Ham at Molineux and Burnley visit Stoke on their return to the top flight before facing Manchester United at Turf Moor 18 August.

Big-spending Manchester City make the journey to Blackburn on the opening day before hosting Everton at Eastlands on 19 August.

New Wigan boss Roberto Martinez starts his reign at Aston Villa, while Bolton are at home to Steve Bruce's Sunderland and Portsmouth meet Fulham at Fratton Park.

Paul Fletcher's blog
Putting the fixture list together is incredibly complex - with a whole series of factors ensuring it is an increasingly difficult task

Paul Fletcher
Manchester United have to wait until the end of the month before they play one of the top four clubs as they take on Arsenal at Old Trafford on 29 August, with the return fixture at the Emirates on 30 January.

Sir Alex Ferguson's side visit Anfield to play Liverpool on 24 October and last season's runners-up are at Old Trafford on 20 March. Chelsea are the last of the other top four sides to face United when they play the champions at Stamford Bridge on 7 November, with the return fixture on 3 April.

Last season's losing Champions League finalists close the season at home to Stoke on 9 May, while Liverpool finish their season at Hull on 9 May.

Liverpool visit Stamford Bridge on October 3, while Chelsea travel to Anfield on 1 May.

Wolves fans will be looking forward to a December 15 trip to Old Trafford to play Manchester United and a home fixture against the champions on March 6, while fellow top-flight newcomers Birmingham play the champions at St Andrews on 9 January.

No I have not, although just the Premier League will do us fine next season. Even though our fixture list really is horrific I still think we can do it, and with C. Ronaldo gone I think we'll see new league winners next season. I suppose Spurs fans still think they'll ever finish above us, which is about as unlikely as Arsenal doing the quadruple.

Now you really are just being silly. There is no chance of Earth that Ars*nal will ever win the quadruple, yet Spurs have finished above you quite a few times. Only a last game catastrophe, stopped that happening 3 seasons ago. Granted, it shows up the shift in power, but nonetheless, you're no longer really considered credible title candidates.

So true, unless they have major investment. Can't see them troubling Utd or Chelsea next season.

smithyp1... United away first game :-D comfortable 4-0 loss  haha..

We got west ham at home and sunderland home last game..
