I can see arsenal finishing mid table, possibly bottom mid

Since Wenger has taken charge of Arsenal they have never finished out of the top 4 and it definitely isn't going to ever happen while he is in charge! Arsenal will win the Prem League this year with players like Van Persie and Fabregas.
#13
And without Henry.

Gunners fans think it wont be a major blow, but i think it will.

I can see arsenal finishing mid table, possibly bottom mid

I'm sorry to say but you really don't have a clue mate and i'd happily but as much money on a bet with you that we won't finish midtable or lower.

Yes, Henry leaving was a big blow but you have to bare in mind that last season, we managed to finish forth and that's including losing our talisman for half the season and even when he did play, he wasn't fit enough to do anything and thusly having by far his worst season but we still coped.

For this reason alone, we won't miss him as much as you seem to think, yes it is a big blow, not just to us but for the whole premiership because of his delightful skills and wonderful goals and i believe this season would of been his best for us.
For the first time since Henry came to Arsenal, he managed to have a break not just during the summer (which he's always indespensible to France) but throughout the season as well, so he would of had a fantastic year this season thanks to a much needed rest.

Like i said, he was missing for a majority of the season last term and so was many other superstars like Gallas and Van Persie, along with many other absentees throughout.

Don't forget that all our rising superstars are now more experienced, while constantly improving, as well as adding a couple good quality players in Sagna, who has impressed me throughout preseason, when he's been outpaced by lighting fast players and then somehow managed to make a crucial tackle that he had no right in managing to do so.

Eduardo has also looked excellent and is exactly what we've needed for years, mark my words, there will be a lot of comparisons made this year to Ruud Van Nistelrooy and even though he's no where as good as Henry, he offers a lot of brilliant qualities that would compliment any team.

Furthermore, there's even more good news because half the premiership has been bought out by billionairres.
To most teams, this will be a negative because these teams have all spent big in hope that they'll be able to break the monopoly of the big four in the near future and yes, they will steal some valuable points, as i do believe that now it's possible that any team can beat anyone more than ever before.

For Arsenal, this is even better news, not just because there rivals will be more likely to drop points but because teams will be willing to open up against us.
For years, the smaller clubs have been too scared to attack us because of our former fast paced counter attacks, so they just shut up shop and put 10 defenders behind the ball, in hope that they could either scrape a draw or even catch us on the counter and grab a winner.

Now, the smaller clubs have all tried to buy big to remain in the premiership and receive huge sums of TV revenue or even challenge for honours, while billionaire owners won't be content with ultra defensive play but will expect entertainment and results, thusly, they'll be more prone to attack.

This is fantastic news for Arsenal because if you look at our stats last season, statistically, we performed the best out of head to head games against the top 4, finished joint second against the top 10 teams but finished joint 3rd (4th on goal difference) to the rest of the league, which means we didn't get the results needed only against the smaller teams.

As i said, this will change this season for the reasons mentioned above and if you watched us in pre-season, you'll see we victoriously outperformed all the big teams we played and believe me, they were far from friendlies, while being the perfect preparation for the new season.

Hey mate,

I don't believe we'll win the league this season but we'll be up there with no pressure as well to challenge, while being being the only premiership club to have made a profit in the summer transfers and have a large warchest in January when i'm sure Mr Wenger will further strengthen the squad.

Spurs have spent over £100m in the last few years and they're still comfortably behind us, even though, they've definitely closed the gap, they still lack in certain areas.

The game today was terrible, i'd expect a performance like that from league 1 opposition against Sunderland, not from the favourites to break up the top 4 league monopoly, they showed no passion and barely threatened goal but obviously, 1 game doesn't mean everything and i'm 100% sure they'll be a lot better this season but look what a few injuries did to there team today, we had to put up with that most of last season and still did better.

Spurs are a good side but this will be a good wake up call to a lot of there players and make them realise they have to watch there backs, as not only might they miss out on Champions league football, but europe as a whole, due to many quality signings made by teams hot on there heals.

Expect entertaining football from Spurs but some shocks going against them.

Yep, i live near the stadium and think it's amazing and have been a life long fan of Arsenal but i have respect for all clubs and supporters.

I'm really looking forward to this season, there's been a lot of people doubting Arsenal, whereas i'm relishing that we'll prove them wrong.
Like i said, i don't expect us to win the league but we'll be challenging, lets just hope the African Nations Cup doesn't cause too much havoc to teams like Arsenal and Chelsea.

One thing i do know, this will be a very entertaining season, possibly the most entertaining ever.

I think Arsenal do have a good chance of coming first or at least competing a lot longer than they did for the last 2 years. Wenger is most probably going to be staying for longer than just this year so that will make some players happy and I can see Arsenal doing well over the next few years especially as Wenger will have more to spend. Arsenal will definitely finish top 4 and will not finish mid-table!:giggle:

That's why i won't have any problems fitting into your family babes, we're all Gooners. :giggle:

Good luck with the game, Villa are always a dodgy team to play against at Villa Park with Martin O'Neill in charge, so hopefully you can at least nick a draw against liverpool for us, making all your beloved family and me very happy. ;-)

The ref is soooo wrong. They always favour the bigger team. Some unjust decisions.

nope....if pennant got a red, villa guy should have too, they both reacted..plus yellow for the foul = 2 players on red.....ref made right decision

I am not a Liverpool supporter but you was beaten by a world class free kick better that way than a complete fluke goal.
