Er...this isn't a 'deal'. You need to post this in the 'Misc' section! :)

Dixons price match but I am sure John Lewis have new restrictions on their price policy. Stores with better prices have to be within a certain radius and they dont price match on internet items.

John Lewis stores will only match with physical stores. Your best bet is to match with whatever price empire direct is offering.

moved to misc :)

Thanks guys :)

I placed an order for the TX32LXD70 at John Lewis, the price being £749 + free 5 year warranty. Due to the lengthy delay I decided to go for a deal on the Dixons site when I saw it, £599 though no extended warranty. Today I've had the call to say that my tv's now in stock at Lewis' and wondered whether they would price match m Dixons order whilst including the extra warranty ? I guess that's not the case though from you responces ? EmPire Direct are cyrrently showing £799 !

Thanks for your help :)

Ooo, Ps. Which deal would you go for ? The Lewis' or Dixons ?

why not phone john lewis and ask if theyd price match?

Richer sounds have the TX32LXD70 for £649.95. You could get John Lewis to pricematch that.

Have a look at this thread - its long but it should tell you everything you want to know. I price-matched in the Autunm for the same telly and got it for £599 from JL. Not all JL stores charge the same - if a JL store is price matching with a local competitor you can get the JL store to price match against the cheaper JL store.

Yep, seems you can only price-match instore items and not internet stock, no limit on radius.

So, presumably it would be worth me spending the extra £50 ( the price matched price ) with John Lewis to have the 5 year warranty, or is this even worth the extra £50 ?

Richer sounds is an instore price. No reason why they shouldn't match that.

I reckon it is - if you look at the cost of taking out a 5 year warranty from elsewhere this is typically £100-1£150......

Although it is unlikely for your tv to fail - I would be really annoyed if the telly broke after 3 years and spending £600 for it. I think with JL if it is uneconomic to repair you get your money back (but I could be wrong here) which you can use to buy a nice new up-to-date telly.

Thanks everyone ! I think I'll go for the JL deal price matched with RS :)

Yours, an undecideble, untechnical girly :D

Yeah I have seen a sony kdl32d3000 in dixons for £640 and in other places for £620. But JL is £799.

I dont think they would match with empire or dixons as are internet shops.

I wonder if anywhere would be closer to a JL store.
