They had a pack of 5 full size Mars bars in Asda last night for £1.30ish...

:)

It's an outrage! I used to buy a veritable boat load with my dinner money and that was only a few years ago.
#3
Expect Fat Taxes to bring this to £1/bar within the next few years :)

cadbury dont make mars :giggle:

mars do :)

The price of chocolate has increased because the essential ingredient increased in price a few years ago, so naturally, the price has to increase for the customers as well and with inflation as well, it really doesn't help matters, which is why it's almost doubled in price.

62p for a general bar of chocolate - we're talking standard size (Wispa size)

Around 75p for the "kingsize" bars at my store.
#14
oh wispa is about 49p by me a mars bar standard about 38p and a 'kingsize' mars about 55p

Well I got 5 KitKat Chunkys for £1 from Tesco. And in my local store(costcutter and coop), its about 40-45p a normal bar. Or 3 for £1 on some.

Couldn't have a 1240x786 version of that avatar could I? :whistling:

Lol :giggle: I had half a fruit and nut one earlier and a bit of white choc :-D yum
#30
But i'm a greedy fat ******* I'm not really into sweet things tbh, but every now and then I do like to go a bit OTT.
#31
Lol... I hadn't had choccy for agessss so it was extra yummy this afternoon :)

I always ask my hubby for the Asda one if he's getting chocolate but he's a brand snob and will only buy Cadbury's

I did notice the overall price rises.

Not only are there cartels in operation, but inflation is really starting to show its face now.

In england we use house prices (how dull)
In america they use the oil barrel (a far more accurate measure)

England typically catches americas cold 12-18 months down the line, so expect further changes soon.

I wonder what will happen in Scotland then....

Well according to some rubbish program on TV the other week, Scotland is the new Docklands as far as property prices etc are concerned. It's THE place to live :? That may have just been Edinburgh though, not sure. Plenty of undeveloped land up there no?
#37
It was probably just Edinburgh... Some parts of Glasgow aren't the nicest but I'm from Birmingham originally so have seen far far worse
#38
Yeah can't see property prices increasing with the likes of Rab living next door  I actually got my user name from a scot MANY years ago..... (and yeah I DO know ;-))

Love Hotel Chocolat, but if you buy a few of the small slabs or small chocolate selections you get them a bit cheaper when you buy 3 or more I think.
