Go to start menu, then programs, accessories, Paint and open it.

Go back to the screen you want to take a snapshot of, use CTRL and Prt Scr buttons together.

That copies it to your clipboard, you can then paste it into Paint to edit.

Or ALT+PrtScr if you want to capture active window. Saves cropping :)

This only puts it onto the clipboard, you need to open a "paint" type program and then edit paste into it. Just thought I'd mention incase some people where expecting a page to fly out of their printer.

There are some small programs that will do it too - however, can't just think of any right now - gulp !!!

I know, I was just referring to rayman's post.

Can anyone tell me how to print screen with the mouse showing up? I know there's a way to do it but I just can't find it?

(I mean without downloadin another program or pasting it in with photoshop...!)

You need third party software Emma. Just searched the internet and this is the Windows standard not to include the pointer and unfortunately no shortcut to include it...

Don't press alt ctrl + prt screen as this toggles your contrast display settings...

Grrrrrrr

I'll just have to photoshop them in ! I'm cropping etc with it anyway... :) Thanks for the reply Greg!

Why not put mouse at bottom of screen so its out the way?

Just print screen and paste (paint and wordpad tried) works on my computer running windows xp.
Doesn't show the cursor though, sorry.
#17
That was my point, I wanted the cursor! It's ok now, I've done it all in photoshop!!
#18
Hi, Im not 100% certain but worth a try. Locate the cursor to where you want it to be, and press print screen. Then try opening word, and press ctrl+v to paste it. Im sure this works...

If it is just to print at home you can of course press print screen and paste into a word document and then print. Down side is that it shows everything on your bottom toolbar if you have lots of things open...
