Hi guys,

My father has a problem with his pc, a few weeks ago his date reset itself to somewhere in the year 2001. It happens every so often, something to do with a dodgy clock battery I think. Usually he just changes it back and everything is fine. But this time he's changed it back (both in bios and windows) and it appears to be fine but Sage (accounting program) no longer accepts dates, just says they are in the wrong format, it says to use MMDDYY which he is so I don't see why it doesn't accept it. He has exactly the same version of Sage on another computer with the same set of data on it and it works fine.

Really don't have any ideas on this one so any suggestions would be fantastic.

Thanks!

Replace the CMOS battery they are only a couple of quid. If you give me the number off the battery I may have a spare one.

As for why sage will not accept dates I've no idea.

Thanks,

Not too bothered about the battery as it resets like once a year or something so that's ok. Really can't work out why Sage won't accept dates though, have tries different combinations like using DDMMYY even though it asks for MMDDYY.
