you using microfilters?

Have you got any extensions from your phone master socket? try unplugging any and try then, then add one thing at a time until you find the culprit, if its one of the flat ribbon type bin it and replace with the regular type, the ribbon ones are a nightmare for broken cores,

yeh tried a different one but still the same :(

When you stand up to answer the phone do you kick the cable out of the router?

Your phone and broadband are both plugged into the same socket then? Just to restate the point since it sounds so likely, if you don't have microfilters on every phone socket that's got something plugged in (regardless of what it is) then this will happen.

From the stats you're posting it appears that the internet is disconnecting (rather than just having wireless network problems) and that it's unlikely to be doing it by itself as you've got a good noise margin for 8:30pm.

Are you living in a flat or something where there may be something on the phone line after it leaves BT care and before it gets to yours?

An often overlooked point for a microfilter is the sky box, just a thought.
[mod]#22
yes both bb and phone and ive got it hardwired not wireless and yes i am living in a flat

and my sky hasnt got a phoneline plugged in :)

High resistance disconnection, can almost guarantee it. Any noise on your phone line (especially when retraining with the DSLAM). ?
[mod]#25
get some noise sometimes, crackling sound? and have to near enough shout !

Sounds like a faulty cable based on the link I posted earlier.
Try phoning BT, or whoever provides your phoneline and ask them to send an engineer to check it out
