Got a timber lodge being built next week & trying to decide what to go for with regards to a Square eyed maker.

id love a projector, but is it really worth it? id be playing the odd xbox game, watching the odd film & probably mainly use it to watch footy when the missus kicks me off the couch. if i go down the projy route id like it to be at least 720p and come in at around £450.

anyone got any recommendations on a 720p projector? iv been looking at the optoma hd700x. dod i need to factor in anything in particular regarding lumens etc. also the timber lodge will have large front windows letting light in, obvisouly i could close blinds but kinda defeats the object.

you critics & comments would be appreciated....

I'm guessing you've never watched a movie or played your xbox on a projector?
It is AMAZING. Get one, you will not regret it what so ever!

my mate had one & i was blown away, but the experience was short as it was a quick nip round. my only fear is the performance when the blinds are up and the light is coming thru. id like to be able to sit n watch tv while the kids are outside playing so i can still keep an eye on them you see rather than pull the blinds down.....

I've used an Optoma one (not HD though) that has 3000 lumens, and that works pretty good with the curtains open.
