The PRS Pauls 28 Electric Guitar is one of the first run of guitars made by utilizing all of the parts, processes, and workmanship that Paul Reed Smith spent his entire career seeking, testing, and refining. The Pauls 28 is the first guitar for many years that has been hand made by Paul Reed Smith himself.

The PRS Pauls-28 Electric Guitar has one of the curliest tops PRS have ever seen in their history, a rare ribbon-striped mahogany back that was hand-selected from an entire warehouse of wood, an extremely rare Pernumbuca Neck (nobodys ever seen one before), an exotic black Rosewood Fretboard, a dark Mexican Rosewood Headstock veneer, and solid-shell rippled Green Abalone, Paua Heart, and Mammoth Ivory Celtic Cross inlays.

Paul Reed Smith spent several years refining all of the parts and processes that went into this instrument: the wood drying methods, the colour Burnt Gold (PRS has been working on this stain method for the last two years), the very special paper-thin nitrocellulose finish, the pickups (PRS proprietary 1957/2008 pickups made from PRSs rare magnet and wire supplies), the nut, the tuning pegs, the frets, the glueseverything.Paul Reed Smith even spent two years researching the materials for the case. There is no part that has not been deliberately chosen.

The craftsmanship on this instrument has been meticulously carried out as well. Paul Reed Smith personally supervised the work and personally worked on this instrument throughout its creation. Paul Reed Smith picked out all the woods, re-carved the body to original shop specs, carved the neck by hand, stained it, helped finish it, helped sand it, specd out all of the pickups, and played and adjusted it until it was right. Essentially, Paul Reed Smith lovingly looked after this instrument being built on a daily basis and made sure it was right in every way.

Paul Reed Smith is hand making 28 guitars, of which 20 are for the US and only 8 will be available for the rest of the world! Digital Village is privileged to have the only guitar available for the UK.

I believe the electric guitar is essentially the violin of our time, and believe many of the guitar virtuosos today would have played violin hundreds of years ago. My goal was to build an instrument that has the look, sound, feel, care and value of the finest violins. My hope is that this instrument and its brothers and sisters are something new for our company and the industry. I hope you enjoy it.- Paul Reed Smith.

The PRS Pauls 28 Electric Guitar main features include:

if you got the cash then it's a deal on what is undoubtedly a very fine & rare guitar. Top marks to the op for knowing his stuff. no marks for the bozo who's going to come along and say the £40 strat copy at Ebuyer is better....
#14
I'd rather pay a few more quid and have what every girl wants 108" tv (or whatever it was) not voted either way though, could be good, but I could write on the head of a pin what I know about geetars!

Well, no, if you've got the cash or not, it is the standard retail price for the only guitar in the UK.

That doesn't make it a "deal". There is not another price to compare against.

It's not just about the materials, it's about how small your ***** is.
#20
Course it's a 'nice' guitar, But really, this is not a hot deal. It's a fashion gimmick for people with too much money to spend. There is not going to be any noticeable difference in sound from this guitar to one you spend say.. a grand on!

Are you completely witless?
#26
quidco anyone?

There is a sort of point to this post. DV247 is a great site for music-related bargains. They have some of the hottest prices around for electronic keyboards and drumkits. This posting though, is strictly for the dreamers amongst us. I doubt anyone browsing UKHD would be in the market for a £30k guitar.

Wow Hot Deal i bought 2, shame there is no quidco on this

Just Kidding bought 4 cant miss a deal like this :whistling:

Antonio Stradivari (c1644-1737) is one of the most famed of violin makers. His "Viotti violin" – first played by Giovanni Viotti at the Tuileries Palace in Paris in 1782, is now valued at £3.5m.

On 16 May 2006, Christie's auctioned a Stradivarius called The Hammer for a record $3.54m (£1.75m).

It could well be a bargain!

Is this for the Xbox or PS3?
#32
Nice, but I was never into PRS. I prefer Gordon Smith to Paul Reed-Smith.

It's lovely.

I'm giving it heat. Perfect for the current economic climate.
