My 5 year old loves the spongebob game! also rugrats-very cheap on ebay or ask on freecycle as people are always giving them away.

crash bandicoot games are always good, particularly crash 3 (warped), which is a ps1 game (which will play on a ps2). the hercules game on ps1 is pretty good for youngsters. if there's a film he particularly likes it possibly worth checking to see if there is a game of it...

my experience lies mainly with ps1, as you may have guessed

My 4 year old and my 6 year old nephew (ok, me too :-D ) love Muppets Party Cruise.

It's got the muppet characters in it and you can either play it by yourself with the computer being the other players needed, or you can play with up to 3 other people. Loads of different mini games in it, great fun

Sassie,

I have a Sonic PS2 game(Sonic Heroes) and to be honest I tried it once and will not play again, not because it isn't good, but because my 40 yr old fingers are not dextrous enough!

I did get it second hand for a fiver,it has a few scratches but plays perfectly well, instructions included....it's yours for £3 delivered if you want it.

Let me know if your interested:)
