If suggesting a console I would say ps3. It can play blu rays and has my favourite exclusives games.

I concur, if suggesting a console I would say ps3. I Wouldn't advise you to buy games with age ratings above your daughters age though.

Thanks do you mind saying why you would pick a ps3? thanks :)

I like my ps3 because of it's:
Exclusives games:
Uncharted 1 + 2
Demon's Soul
Valkyria Chronicles
Metal Gear Solid 4
Flower
SOCOM: Confrontation (my personal dirty joy:oops:)
Killzone 2
Infamous
Heavy rain (looks awesome, loved Fahrenheit)

Blu Rays
No rrod
Less fan noise than xbox360

Cons
No cross game voice chat (yet)
Halo
Mass Effect
Gears Of Wars

nah. plus to play xbox online (which you want to with COD) then you have to pay a subscription fee of around £40 a year.

with all the extras they are pretty similar priced - hence i'd recommend the PS3. the only thing i would say is has she got any friends with consoles. it makes games so much better so if alot of her friends have an xbox, then get her an xbox. if not get a ps3. PS3s are finally starting to overtake the 360 after several years.

You have to pay for the ones I've highlighted bold the rest you cannot get with the xbox 360.
You can get a small internet browser with xbox 360 media center but it is SERIOUSLY pointless.
Also PS3 has vidzone and youtube is compatible, so are most flash websites.

but the ps3 is dearer and at the game expo the ps3 broke down like 4 times and the xbox worked fine =] x

only £25 if you look properly, but my friends jump in when they see them for sale on offer for £32.

plus xbox has 3 year warrenty for manufactoring problems such as RROD compared to the 1 year on a ps3, which has just as bad manufacturing problems according to watchdog with all the people complaining about the yellow light of death or watever it was called
#14
she only wants it for COD so all those other games meant nothing to me im afraid :( The most adventurous we have done so far is mario kart and monopoly on WII :-S
Will xbox connect to my wireless for free?

just to tell op you will get ps3ers liking that and xboxers likeing that but yerrr =] x i say xbox ! x

All my friends who have a 360 and myself have had the RROD once (You can challenge me on that), one of my friends has had it about 5 times atleast. I know 2 people personally who have had their PS3 broken and thats when theirs is atleast a year and a half old.

PS3 isn't that much dearer?

PS3 Slim 250GB + Smackdown Vs Raw 2010 + PES 2010 £299.99

Xbox 360 super elite 250GB + PES 2010 £259.99

£40 difference
You can sell SVR2010 for £14 making it £26 difference for blu-ray free online built-in wi-fi internet browser...

Your gonna get people saying Xbox 360 and people saying PS3, Its a personal choice. I recommend a PS3
