Wow - that's quite a delay there if that's a true delay time... not doubting you as such, just that it can seem longer than it actually is when you're waiting on something is all, like our downstairs TV when switching channels on freevies there is a delay of about 1 second, but seems longer.

Anyway, all I can suggest really is that you try a system restore etc to try and clear the problem.. a while back I was having problems with the audio for about 3-4 months with loud popping sounds soming through the speakers, and thought it was my 5.1 speaker system.. had it replaced and still had the same fault.. realised it was the PS3 instead and was bricking it thinking I'd have to go through a load of stuff to get it repaired.... anyway, I decided to wipe the hard drive and re-install, that didn't fix it.... so again did a hard drive wipe and then did a system restore and haven't had any problems since then.
The only reason I can think of for their being a problem in the first place was that I had had it for about 18 months and during that time it'd had about 15-20 firmware updates that just install over the top of each other and maybe something got corrupted.... could be wrong I know, but that's the only thing I can think of... anyway hope you get the problem sorted, post back and let us know if the system restore works out the problem for you :)

iv not tried a full system restore, have done a system data rebulid twice, which it find one corrupt file and fixed it, i did a wee google and i only seen one article with kind of problem being the, wifi/bluetooth interfering while switching between each other that may be causing the delay problem:thinking:, i will do a system restore doubt it will make any difference, my other option is to switch the wifi off for the remote play access, if no joy prob be a hardware fault, and need to get it replaced, lets hope not;-)
