Only 2 on the slims isn't it? You could get a 4 port adaptor...

If it helps by having another person to confirm, two slims in my home (one being mine, the other my brother's, 250gb and 120gb respectively) and both have only 2 USB ports in the front.

Like another HUKD member has said you can easily just buy an adaptor for more slots.

Correct for all UK models.

I wished they put four on them again, and had at least one of those in theback of the console.

mine only has 2

Pretty silly, for a system that relays heavely on USB it only has 2. Design Fail.

Mine only charges controllers... or plays avi's form a USB stick without the need to stupidly connect to xbox live...

Yours must do more than mine...

Well for the purpose of cutting production costs, reducing the retail price and still supporting the use of third party USB adapters rather than releasing official ones at an extortionate price.

Design fail? Perhaps.
Economic Win? Yes.

For me 2 USB ports is enough seeing as I only use it to charge my pad and headset.

Why do you need to connect to xbox live to play your usb files once you have the media update *look at limitation on Q34 . You should fix it so the mp4 files play offline like mine. A34

http://support.xbox.com/support/en/us/xbox360/kb.aspx?ID=945416&lcid=1033&category=hardware

Q34: I received a message that says a media update is required to play the content. When I download the update, I receive the message, "The download could not be completed. Please try again later. Any points you used for this transaction have already been deducted from your balance and will not be deducted again," along with error code: 80070005. Can you explain this?

A34: You'll experience this error if you previously downloaded the media update on another Xbox 360 console by using the same profile. You can only download the update on one console with each profile. You can work around this limitation by creating a temporary Silver membership to download the update. After the update is downloaded, you will be able to use the update with any profile.
