  xbox man here, went with the xbox for the exlusive games. I think there's only one ps3 game exclusive i'd like to have played othewise i'm happy I went with the xbox (prefer the xbox controls too)

  xbox owner here. love the online experience and some of the exclusive games. not had a ps3 before so can't compare but my mate had one and he said it had an update nearly everytime he turned it on and these updates lasted longer than any xbox update i've had.

  There's only 1 major difference that I'd consider a deal breaker for each console. Xbox is better for online gaming, especially with friends (but you have to pay). Easy to set up and jump in. PSN is better for you if you are not a avid online gamer, it's free and it does its job decently but usually requires a bit more work than xbox (no private chat is a major flaw for PS3).
  
  I have only a PS3 these days as I don't game much online anymore. I only use my PS3 as a CD player/Blu Ray machine 99% of the time and play exclusives and Rock Band offline mostly. I play nearly everything on PC now as it's cheaper and a much more versitile way of doing things if you know what you're doing imho. Plug a 360 controller in and you've got the best system of the lot.

  this is just waste of Internet KB. We have got to stop wasting internets, there are people starving in this world and you guys are using the internet space like we have infinite amount! stop it.

  Thats why i'm asking. Wondering if its worth getting the PS3 as well as the 360. If theres any decent games etc.

  PS3 owner here (actually own both consoles but PS3 is my primary) as another person said the Xbox online system is better but I personally think that the games on the PS3 especially the exclusives are much better which is why I do most of my gaming on that system. I haven't used my Xbox in what feels like years as the games just aren't there unless you get your jollys playing kiddies games using kinetic which seems to be Microsofts focus at the moment.

  I have both, and fail to see how the 360 has better online gaming, it doesn't, and it costs money for Gold, which is annoying as it's basically the same as PSN.
  
  Party chat, overrated and used a lot of the time to just abuse people.
  
  Controller, I prefer the PS3s
  
  Games, Up to you what you prefer.

  PS3 hands down... I have both and only Xbox strengths are cross game chat, exclusive games (which is equal to PS3) and controller (but the PS3 controller is as good) ... It really dose depend on your circumstances...

  went with the xbox because:
  1. people who own ps3's go to private schools and get bummed by there parents
  2. people who own ps3's work for sony (or a afilliate)
  3. people who own ps3's found them in a skip
  4. people who own ps3's got one for £100 when game where shutting down
  5. people who own ps3's are gay.
  
  all seriousness,
  ps3 is a good console but there is just somerthing about an xbox which i enjoy more :L

  I got both only bought a ps3 to play socom confrontation online as i always played socom on the ps2
  i play gears of war on the xbox
  i don't waste my money buying loads of games anymore as they just seem to be a waste of money & gather dust

  I have both and dont play online so generally buy 360 games if the same price. Mainly as I hate the way the PS3 doesnt autoplay games when you turn it on like the 360 does. Some games take ages to go through their adverts when first loading the game so xbox wins in the fact this will all have been done for you.
  
  If I was forced to only have 1 then it would be the PS3 as exclusives are far better these last few years.
