PSP custom firmware?Using Mac OSX?

Hi, I've just purchased a fat psp that is running 3.50 i believe. I was wondering if it is worth putting custom firmware on it?

If so is there anybody out there that would be kind enough to help explain/guide me on how to do this. I have read forums and guides on other sites but don't really understand it, seems its not quite as easy as unlocking an iPhone(or not as it would seem from the abundance of iphone threads started recently). Ialso have a 1gb memory card that is magic gate supported if that helps.

Any help much appreciated

Regards

Matt

Are you sure, i thought that Pandora meant that you can put custom firmware on any PSP?

Where do you live matthewPayne87?

I have had custom firmware put onto various PSP's, both phat and slim.
With a Pandora kit. Battery+Memory stick.

None of them were bricked. What am I not understanding?

you are understanding fine its others that dont undestand pandora can unbrick and downgrade to custom FW

the old method did need an unpatched copy of lumies it uses an exploit found on the unpatched game same as the grand theft auto method (thank god for pandora):p

If you want to send me your battery and memory card i can turn it into and a pandoras battery and magic memory card then send back with a guide of how to use and put back to normal.
or i could send you my set with a guide. but wil need a deposit of £10 (refundable) so you just need to pay postage

No one has asked how to make a Pandora battery, or are you saying that you were correct in stating that a Pandora only unbricks PSP's?

yes thats what you need to make pandora, you dont relly need a spare battery as you can just convert it back when you need it normal then swap it back when you need pandora

Hi all thanks for the help I'm in North London at the mo but will be in Birmingham by thursday. If anybody lived nearby and would be willing to help.

Does this mean after I turn my battery into a pandora battery I can't use it as a normal battery?

Regards Matt

That used to be the case but wit the newer pandora battery kit it is not needed anymore.

LOL< n00b :)
Pandora DOES install custom firmware, I have done about a million (well, maybe not that many :p) of these with the battery / memory stick combination and it works just fine.

OP: I have a copy of Lumines for sale for £11 if you like.

Mike..
