wishful thinkin.....

Game also have the same price on pre order - so do many other retailers... Could be guess work - but i doubt it. Normally you'll see varying prices on different retailers when it is.
#3
are't game and gamestation the same company?
#4
Yerp but still different entities business wise. Plus other retailers have the same price as them.

Also these are preorders - not register your interest.

Even if it was just 'Guess work' - Still pretty sodding high.

Amazon have it at £230. Play have it at £250 - Apparently the RRP is £250.

Original PSP launched at £179.

is'nt the graphics etc excatly the same?

watched "click" today on the bbc-they were reporting from e3 games expo-the reporter when quoting sales figures used the expression "the psp is as popular as the plague"-if sony are serious about the handheld market this price is insane!

I pre-ordered it from game a few days ago for £175, most retailers are now advertising a price of R.R.P £249.99.

PSP Go is same graphically yerp.

Has a brighter screen - no UMD.. Just insane why this is so highly priced.

Bryan you might wanna check with the retailer regarding that - majority.. Including game, gamestation, play, amazon etc.. Will actually not honor the original pre-order price. They'll either let you have it for the adjusted price or let you cancel your order. Until they've actually withdrawn the cash from your bank account, you don't have much in terms of rights to that price now a days. As they normally cover themselves in T&C incase of pricing mistakes.

For example gamestations T&C:

"In the unlikely event that the price of an item has been incorrectly advertised on the Site, We will usually contact you to ask whether you wish to proceed with your order at the correct price. If you are not happy to proceed, or We are unable to obtain your instructions, We will cancel your order and any sum debited by Us from your debit/credit card will be refunded in full to the same card. We will not be obliged to supply products at the incorrect price."

So basically with them, even if debited.. They'll still cancel on you and refund the cash.. You'll find that at most retailers. So i'd say the pre order price you got is definitely not gonna be the price you pay. :/

Maybe to coupe up some losses.
As you all know each PS3 sold = a loss.
This is supposed to be cheaper than the 3000 I heard.

I really liked the look of this psp too. I am not paying that much though. I was seriously interested at £150, at this hahaha....no.

It looks good (in terms of styling and "looks") but it will flop. If they intend to compete with the DSi, they will have to bring it to the same price point. I really don't see the point of owning the psp, you can count all the decent titles (that aren't ports) on the fingers of one hand. LBP for the psp looks good but that is the only game that interests me in sony's e3 psp lineup. Far better to simply own a DS lite and then take advantage of that massive games library.
