I purchased a small item on Play.com last November at £4. I have just recieved my bank statement for this month and to my surprise Play.com had taken £93 from my account for purchases made on the 13th of this month. When i logged onto Play to check what was purchased i found my account to be closed.
I phoned and was told that fraud had been detected on my account and it had been closed on the 15th of this month. They told me that 2 mps players and a dvd player had been bought using my details and posted to another address but they could not give me anymore details as it was now a police matter.
What i want to know is why did they not phone and tell me that someone had hacked into my account and had my details? Also if you make a purchase from Play.com do they send you an email about what you have just purchased and when this will be delivered like amazon does?
:thinking: Not impressed with there customer service to say the least.
Im also a bit concerned that Play.com is not as sercure as i thought.
