Anyone know how to keep track of useage on 3 mobile BB over the month so as not to go over the 3GB limit? Is there a way of registering the IM or something? Thanks

Have you looked at your 3 account online? Mine isn't currently showing any data usage (only started yesterday) but it does show a remaining data figure. On the connection software it shows a data counter which seems cumulative as it has an option to clear it, which also helpfully shows you when you last flushed the counter.

The Mobile 3 software that you use to connect has stats on your usage.

Also i know on my payg 3 modem i can log into my 3 account and see my data usage there.

Are you logging in to your regular 3 mobile account? Haven't done that yet. Oh right, the counter is cumulative. For some reason I thought it ws reset every connection.

Ok great, that answers my last question. Thanks to both of you.

I initially thought it would be reset as well but it's definitely cumlating - not sure where it stores that data though, if it's storing it on the local PC then it's not going to be much use if you use the modem on different PCs.

I don't have any existing 3 accounts (my main phone is with Vodafone), I just set up a new account and login using my mobile number and a password I set up.

So far I'm pretty impressed actually, the whole system seems to be well thought out and designed to be clear and simple for the consumer - it's easy to keep track of your data to avoid getting screwed over and the data limits are clear, none of this 'unlimited data package' with fair usage nonsense the other networks offer.

Good point. I am using it on three different laptops (it's the family modem for whoever is travelling). I will have to keep an eye on it - hope it's stored on the modem.

Yes, agree completely from what I've seen so far. Speed also better than expected.

Thanks again for the input John.
