Hi guys, Just really looking for some advice
I went for an interview today. The position was to manage the website that was to be launched in the near future.
I was told by the interviewee that they are outsourcing the website design to someone else and it would cost a lot. I suggested that if i was to get the job, i would be able to build them the website for a lot cheaper. (I am very good with webdesign etc)
The interviewee asked to see my work of a website. I showed him and he was pretty impressed.
My question is, if i wanted to freelance or get into this sort of business. Is it better to get a qualification in web design or something along those lines or to have a portfolio on its own showing my work. Or even both?
Does anyone do this now?
I have a degree in Business Management - nothing to do with web design at all. I have learnt about this purely on a hobby basis.
The company that i went to the interview for, seem to be really excited by my proposition.
