Quality flowers at affordable price? Where to get them from?

I've been looking for some flowers for the missus. I don't fancy paying £30 or more for a bunch that will not last a week.

I've previously purchased from Interflora, FlowersDirect, Mark&Spencer, Tesco, Asda and eFlorist.

I only had disappointments with those ones. Interflora didn't last 3 days and the rest not a week.

However, Tesco and Asda flowers are very good when bought from the shop. They last between 10 and 12 days. I thought their online flowers are any no good. I got some and we didn't like them.

I would like to get them online and surprise her. I could go down to Tesco or Asda but if I did it would be very suspicion due to her birthday and spoil the surprise.

I though about getting some from Next. Are they any good? Would you recommend another on-line shop? Cheers

Why not get them the day before and hide them?

Morrisons is nice for flowers or a local florist.

I have sent flowers through these
See this thread for discount

Excellent service, not too expensive and they lasted well. I think that they use local florists so obviously I cannot vouch for counrtywide.

Woops - you already said that you had used eFlorist and were disappointed.

The local park.
Available after dark and must be quick and quiet.

Actually supermarkets may be the best cheap option but only if you select them yourself. With any delivery option you are 'trusting' that you will recieve good quality but if the company is delivering less than usual then they may feel it is ok to ship some that are slightly less fresh than you might hope for.

Just rang my local florist for some carnation buttonholes for my friend's wedding.

£1 each with greenery and an extra 50p for gypsy grass to be added.

What a bargain :)

I know they are but I thought that a florist might add on a few pounds.

One less job for us to do before the wedding :3

If you want something that lasts you should order an orchid, they are really pretty and can last 6 months and if looked after will grow back again. I find the white ones are so easy to keep (ie very difficult to kill) and you should get a minimum of 3 months even if just ignored & not looked after.
M&S do great orchids in store so maybe look at them online. Also Tesco & Waitrose ones are good.
