Question about the apprentice

Well whilst throughly enjoying the past 12 weeks.
have a question.
As we see on the tv the tasks that they undergo.

The task itself lasts 1-2days?

Well are they at 'the house' for all 12 weeks?
What happens/what do they do when they are not doing a task?
And where is the house?

I think the tasks last for 1/2 weeks, then the final two work for Alan for a week, the final is filmed on that day so it can't be leaked.

Yes and also they Film 2 endings, 1 with sir allan saying lee is hired and 1 saying Claire is hired. then when the show is broadcast they run the ending sir allan wants. this ensures no1 can possibly know who wins before hand. So they found out the same time as us believe it or not

So they found out via watching the tv?
Or a call?

This should explain (taken from wikipedia)...

'In fact, two versions of the final boardroom sequence are filmed — showing each of the finalists winning. Between filming and transmission — a period of about six months — both finalists work for Sir Alan in temporary jobs. Sir Alan does not reveal his decision about who is he is going to hire until shortly before transmission, and this determines which ending is shown. The BBC has issued contradictory statements about the decision procedure. The first version of events is that Sir Alan makes his decision on the day that the final boardroom sequence is filmed, based on the contestants' performance in the final task, and keeps it secret until just before transmission.[26] The second version is that Sir Alan decides after the six-month trial period.[27] Former contestant Saira Khan also stated that "His final decision is not based on the programme that people see. His final decision is based on these two people [who] have been working with him for the six months."[28]

The candidates live together in a large rented house for the duration of the competition.[29] Owing to the twelve-week broadcast schedule, the audience is given the impression that the candidates stay for 12 weeks in the house and that there are breaks between tasks. The series is actually filmed in about two months,[27] and the filming schedule means that the tasks are generally performed one after the other.[30]'

This looks good but does it make sense when Claire cried when she was told she did n't get the job - is this fake then as she would not know she had not got it? It turns this scene into just acting if the candiidates didn't know for sure.

Good point but did you see Lees reaction? Never said a word and seemed to just look at the floor, think that looked a bit fake to be honest if you had actually won it.

Dont know I think it looked like he was trying not to do a outburst and was doing a inner self "You did it, well done type thing".

I think they know at the last day of filming and sign a confidentaility agreement.
Its a bit much to be in limbo land for 6 months and find out just before

Not in limbo land, they are working for Sir Alan. Dont you think it would be a bit much it they knew who had won then the looser had to work for Sir Alan for 6 months knowing they wernt getting the job?

I meant working on a temp contract for six months without knowing whether you have got the job or not and after going through all those tasks seems a bit harsh.

Personally I would want to know after the apprentice not do a great job for six months only to be told you were very good and made lots of money but Lee was a little bit better so we are not going to renew your contract.

Yeah see what you mean but they have had the oppourtunity to work with Sir Alan for 6 months and I bet the temp contract didnt pay too badly! I bet he would employ both of them if he could but its not the game unfortunatly.
