Question about upgrading e2save O2 contract.

I have a quick question regarding e2save cashback dates and contract changes. I am on the last month of my contract with O2 via e2save which ends on Nov 8th. O2 said that I can upgrade within the last 30 days of my contract.

My cashback breakdown says that I must send month 12 claim between Nov 2nd and Dec 2nd. I think I am right in saying that the bill must not be older than 30 days too? If that is the case, and my bill for this month is dated Oct 9th, can I upgrade with O2 now and then send my bill for this month in on Nov 2nd (by which time it will be 24 days old) and claim my last cashback successfully? OR will e2save say I have sent the wrong bill as it isn't dated in Nov and that I can't claim on the following bill because it is an upgrade?

Also, is now a good time to upgrade with O2 or are there any new phones coming out in the next few weeks that I should be aware of?

Thanks for any help.

The T&C's state that you will only receive cashback if your bills are over the predetermined amount so if they offer you the chance to lower your tariff to the lowest it possibly may mean that you wont get your cashback.
The bill must not be any older than 30 days (as its the last month) and you have 60 days to get it to them.
I wouldnt upgrade now as you will probably be told to lower your line rental.

But if the bill is dated October 9th and I send it on November 2nd (the earliest date possible in my final cashback window) then it would not be older than 30 days, so would be within their T&C's wouldn't it?
It's not really the end of the world if I can't as chances are I can get a better deal in November, but I was just wanted to be sure if I do go for it.

Thanks for your reply.

Yes, as long as it states your next due cashback date is 2nd November then send the October one as you obviously wont have one for November yet (until the 9th) if that makes sense!?
Good luck with it though.

Yep, that does. I thought that was the case, I just know how sneaky these companies can be so wanted to double check what someone else thought. Cheers

If it's on e2save's special terms (mostly clearance deals) then you need to send bill number 12 or they may not pay up.

I speak from bitter experience. Although to be fair, they did pay me out after a polite phone call! :)
