Question regarding WIFI repeating via my mobile/iPad

I'm at university and I'm trying to download a 3GB file but the university limits a device to 1GB a day. I've managed to download 2GB using WiFi and an Ethernet connection but I'd like to download the rest.

I have an iPad and an android phone, is there any application for these devices that would let me connect to a wifi network on the phone and broadcast it out?

Usually it would seem like a pointless app, so I'm thinking this doesn't exist.

P.s. No its not porn before you ask! its Windows 8 :)

spoof a MAC address if they are using low level sticky mac security

With iOS, you just create a personal hotspot in settings - assuming your iPad is 3G

The action you are trying to do is called wifi repeater.

What would be the chances of it being traced back to me? We signed an agreement not to do that. Would lose access to the internet if I did that

Changing a MAC address in Unix is simple, jailbreak it and ssh to the terminal.

ifconfig (to reveal info)
ifconfig en0 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 (change 00:00:00:00:00:00 for a vaid format MAC address)
ifconfig (to verify change)
