  What would be the chances of it being traced back to me? We signed an agreement not to do that. Would lose access to the internet if I did that

  Changing a MAC address in Unix is simple, jailbreak it and ssh to the terminal.
  
  ifconfig (to reveal info)
  ifconfig en0 ether 00:00:00:00:00:00 (change 00:00:00:00:00:00 for a vaid format MAC address)
  ifconfig (to verify change)
