  If you can trim it down, then do it, otherwise they might refuse to accept it or charge you extra for being over the allowance.

  Even if your shop accept it, the courier or recipient store may refuse it. better to be safe than sorry.

  "The Company reserves the right to reject a Parcel at the relevant collection point if the Parcel exceeds the weight or dimensions stated here or there is not a valid Label attached"
  
  The shop may take it in but the driver might not so you may have to return and pick it up
  
  "The Company shall only be liable for non-compliance with instructions if it is proved that the same was caused by the negligence or default of the Company or its agents"
