Quick CoolNewMobile cashback question

I have had a quick trawl through the CNM feedback thread but cannot find a answer to my question below.

A work collegue has sent in his first claim to CNM, and I vetted the letter and contecnts to check they were OK. Claimsent by RM SD and has been received by CNM.

Do CNM inform you by email or text when they receive te claim like some other companies i.e. CPW group?

Or is it a case of wait and see?

Or do they just inform you when its too late that you have made a mistake?

Thanks

EliTom

PS claim was sent in 2 weeks ago

Usually, an email will arrive when the claim is being 'processed' :)

Dear Customer.

Thank you for remitting your cash back claim paperwork. It has been submitted on to our system today and will be processed accordingly.
We will reply by post within 14 days of receipt.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the quick reply edi - how long do they normally take to "process" the claim.

I am used to e2save / OSPS who are normally quite quick, and after recommending a deal with CNM, have subsequently started to here of dodgy tricks from them so was just wondering at what point to chase tehm up before its too late.....

cheers

The above reply came in about 3 weeks :)

Print & keep a copy of the proof of receipt from Royal Mail Trace & Trace for your records.

CNM is taking about 60 days to make payment but havent had any issues so far (2nd contract).

Thanks - so he is still within the CNM timeframe.

I checked his claim and it contained all required documents plus covering letter. All CNM get out clauses were checked !!!!!

So hopefully it will be OK

After confirming with Royal Mail, call them to find out the expected payment date (although they'll never say a date). Having sent 2 weeks ago, I'd expect the payment in New Year (after Christmas allowance). :)

Will do but I think we try the email route first - 0901 number for customer services at 50p / min seems a steep......

Sounds a bit long! I'm currently waiting on claims sent mid August and mid September but based on past experience, I would expect the August claim to arrive this month and the September claim next. Obviously well outside the expected 45 days but I've never had to chase them - they're just paying late.
