I bought a bedding set from a shop on there, anyway i've washed it and its faulty, the damask stuff has started to come off. I've followed it all to the washing label, and its just ruined now. I got it a few weeks ago, over a month, but i'm quite angry has it cost 120 quid! What do you suggest ?
Cheers ears x

Excellent feedback...... and purchased on 31st August.

I'm guessing u've already left feedback? Have u emailed them and told them what's happened? I'd b fumming if I'd spent £120 !! U never know they...they may suggest u send it back so they can have a look at it...then give u a refund. Good luck hun
#4
i'd ask them.... they may be decent about it, its alot of money to lose
#5
I should just tell them what happened and see what they offer - if they are as good as their feedback looks then surely they will just sort it out for you & refund?
#6
Yeah i thought about emailing them, but i wanted to know if i had a leg to stand on incase they tell me to do one!!
#7
are u still within the time limit to raise a paypal dispute if seller isnt forthcoming?

I spend a lot on my bedding also and would be fuming if that happened to me

good luck OP

thats alot for some bedding isnt it? is it egyption cotton

Maybe take some pics of the damage & email them over first, also send it back via courier so you know it arrived OK & get a name that signed for it. If it was a private seller you probably wouldn't get anywhere, but an Ebay shop is a bit different ...
#10
you may still be able to open a paypal dispute, I can never remember how long you get. I hope you manage to sort something........ £120 and faulty after 1 wash I would be fuming.

Have sent this.....Hi, i am after a little bit of help and advice. I bought a super king size black bed set and also the matching curtains from you on 31st August. Anyway, i have washed it ready to put on our new bed, and the damask material has come off leaving it patchy and ruined. It really does look a mess where its come off, as its gone all grey. I would be ever so greatful if you could offer me any help regarding this, as i was thrilled with this set, but now unable to use it. Many thanks for your time.

Email the seller see what they say and then if no joy you are still just within 45 days for a snad dispute so don't wait too long for a dispute.

Can you tell me what to do in simpleton terms  i have just emailed, so if the result is good then brill, but if the result is bad, what exactly do i do?

Have a look here at the selling regs http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/selling-practices.html esp
Faulty items

Under the Sale of Goods Act 1979 (as amended), items sold by business sellers to non-business consumers must be:
of 'satisfactory quality’
‘as described’
‘fit for purpose'

If an item you sell doesn't conform to these criteria, the buyer has the right to request money back within a "reasonable time". What is considered a "reasonable time" varies from item to item. For example, a pair of skis is unlikely to be used straight away, so a "reasonable time" is likely to be longer than for an item normally used on a daily basis. Other factors may also affect what is defined as a "reasonable time" for specific items. In addition, the Sale and Supply of Goods to Consumers Regulations 2002 gives consumers a right to a repair or replacement where goods turn out to be faulty.

Go into pp and then resolution centre it will ask you what you want to file, it will be a SNAD and you select the transaction it MUST be within 45 days.

So i've got before 15th then ain't i? So if seller doesn't reply or doesn't wanna know i will do this. Or do i do it now anyway before he replies?
#23
i'd file now, then they know you mean business, you can always close dispute if satisfactory outcome achieved.

I would do it anyway for your own protection as if they play silly for the next 4 days you could miss out on the dispute window, just email and say you are just opening a claim for your own protection due to time.

Ok then, will do this now. Many thanks for your help.

I ould wait a couple of days first as raising a paypal claim sometimes puts sellers on the defensive, try and sort it out amicabilly, Although make sure you dont miss the paypal deadline to raise a claim. If the seller ask for the item to be returned do it throu paypal SNAD so that you are covered.

Any half decent seller would understand that you have only raised a claim to cover yourself however

In reso centre now, am i disputing a transaction?

Do i stand a chance ya think? Or not? And whats a SNAD?
#31
Paypal are doing their investigations now. The seller has told them his tale. What normally happens next?

They weigh up the evidence, so add as many pics etc in as you can and it's just a waiting game.

Where do i go to add info? And can i send them the sellers emails he sent me?
