They can't do anything. You didn't sit in the cab so you haven't incurred any expense.

but on the other hand if the taxi comes to the door and you cancel it , you should pay the call out fee , but as they turned up late its not your fault

If you consistantly let them down you will be barred and they will refuse to pick you up.

if she wants her windows bricked

Sometimes if one taxi firm cant cover they will let another know of it so can be covered. Presumably word could spread if taxis are booked and journeys not taken. If it became regular could find it difficult to get a taxi. As a one off incident shouldnt have any problems as they will know they were late.

never had any of mine bricked although we used to have to ring further afield after a while

especially when you get in 1 and say yeah the others will be out in a minute

you end up getting them on time either way tho

Mine wasn't a dumbass question either.:p

Long story.
I have used the taxi before and they came like 30 mins late. If they repeated it today, my kids would have been kicked out of after school club at sharp 6pm. I had a courtesy car, but I noticed someone had bumped and made paint mark. It wasn't me.:? Not sure if it was already there. Also I put £4 petrol cos it was low and it goes back tommorrow morning, but in the panel it was showing as literally no petrol. I was nervous about all that and thought I'd rather take a taxi. If taxi man came late, I would have driven the courtesy car to pick them up. But since I was at work at that time, the taxi man can come and get me any day if I was at wrong.

Hence I asked if I was liable for anything if he turned up late.

Told you it was long story.:-D

If you book a taxi, telling the driver you need to be somewhere for a specific time, and you don't get there on time, excluding traffic jams etc. then you are entitled to compensation.
