  The b means that it is the UK model and not something grey.
  (This can make a difference to the functionality such as epg and services etc - not sure about the model you list)

  Just get John Lewis to price match using their online form. *however they can be picky about exact model number as this was abused by people on here earlier in the year. The advantage is you get the uk model and the 5 year warranty is usually free if you do not mention it in the online form

  
  
  il go into richer sounds now and ask on the differences between the uk model and that one. if theres a difference il price match it with richersounds. the forum link you posted seems fair on the set itself.
