QuidCo Abuse...

Some people are really sad and spoil it for everyone else. I'm pleased QuidCo is taking action to help protect the site's reputation with the retailers:

Just be careful when you buy and don't abuse the system. I've read about people abusing QuidCo here on HUKD a lot, so hopefully this will make them think twice next time.

Alas it happens a lot on here too. You read of folks often making multiple orders using discount codes, "can i use this voucher twice?" and when folks advise them not to, they come back too with the, "well if they didn't want it abused, they should have not allowed it to happen", so we all know there are some selfish and shameless folks out there.

Shame the few, ruin it for the majority :(

Just read the quidblog and was going to post it,searched and found that ducky had posted it.Lets hope that peeps read this and take heed at the consequences of multiple applications for things that aren't meant to be. We all love a good scam but in moderation so that it can be shared around and not spoiled for others.:(

Well I admit I was banned, just received an e-mail.

I did a few :) clicks on the europcar offer. (anything between 1 and 10 a day)
But if Quidco were serious about stopping people doing multiple clicks and abusing offers they should restrict the number allowed per day - as do a lot of other sites.

They are only too happy for people to receive multiple offers from other sites and abuse other merchants offers.

Annoying thing is a Europcar site has just opened up about 1 mile from my house :)

Oh well, you live and learn :)

I never even knew Quidco had a blog. :(
I think putting a warning on the home page would be a good idea, it is more likely to get attention.
I take it Paul from Quidco is the same Paul from here (Admin?)

It's always the case imo, the few spoil things for the many, or whatever the correct saying is. :x
I hope this does not have repercussions with other merchants pulling the plug.

I don't use Quidco, I've meant to get it started a couple of times but never really bothered. This has interested me though.

Were there any kind of terms or conditions about using this clickthrough offer?

I use the R Points Highest Cashback Offer which, in my experience, is much more reliable. :)

:-D :-D

Oggy:- I am yet to find ONE Highest Cashback Offer from Rpoints. Can you please tell us if there is one?
#8
It's a policy there Edi:

If you find a competitor offering more cashback at one of our Rpoints partner sites, then will we match that offer and credit you with the difference.
#9
Oh, i didnt know that. Does it mean, that every single offer is matched?

And they work by cookies too. Not sure how can it be MORE reliable then?
#10
I think Oggy is saying any time they have claimed like this in Rpoints, they get sorted out.

But I'm sure quite a lot of people don't go to the bother of putting the claim in. I think it means any offer will be matched, so when you compare the Rpoints cashback to the Quidco cashback, Rpoints supposedly match it.

Sorry, but I prefer quidco every time :)

Back on topic, I have a general enquiry:

If I use a price checking site such as Kelkoo, high street web to check the price of a particular product/car compared to that on online shops and physical shops, am I classed as an abuser of the system if I don't buy online? (This should become a small debate!)
#12
it seems pretty much up to quidco's whim to be honest, workaholic. i'd be disappointed if they took legitimate monies from people's accounts who had been 'abusing' the europcar link....just because someone has taken advantage of a single link i don't think it deserves for their ENTIRE funds in their account to be taken from them.
#13
Workholic :- Using kelkoo shouldnt be an abuse. They already have 1 lead / user / day policy. If one has 365 clicks in a year, mmmh... dont know how that's considered.

Ummmmm, I think I'll check this site out.
I'm always after a better deal 8-)

How do you get paid and how often?
#15
Not too sure offhand the min payout (I wait until I have £100 ) but they pay by BACS, PayPal, etc virtually on demand. 100% reliable in my experience.

Thanks  BACS is my fav payment option.
I've not even looked properly yet. :(

True they will match it. However I believe if the higher cashback is with Quidco, TopCashBack or anywhere else there is an annual fee then they will deduct that first (probably only once per year?).

Having said that I used to prefer Quidco. That was before they banned me for clicking through. I will now be doing my purchases though someone else as I am sure a lot of other people will.

Hi guys, i made a purchase from a website through quido in March of this year, the earnings from the purchase would be around £200. Up to now the earnings have never been tracked, i tried making an earnings enquiry within the 90 days but the system did not let me. I had this problem before but the earnings eventually were resolved. I have just sent an email to the quidco team to shed some light. I do not know if i sent the email to the right department does anyone know what quidco's email address is for issues like this.

thanks
