Submitted request for pack 4 months ago via Quidco and the transaction tracked at £23. Got my cheque from Money4GoldUK and cashed the cheque. Now 4 months later the transaction has been declined. Reason unknown!

Cant submit a ticket as the time period for enquiry has passed. Convenient now that its been declined eh?

Anybody else had problems with getting their cashback for this Merchant?

OMG, dont get me started about money4gold. I sent 45g of gold to them 5 weeks ago. After insulting me with a cheque for £68, I refused and was offered £200.
As I know i can get even more, I refused again, and told them to return my gold. Im STLL waiting for it to be returned, even after numerous promises from management, that I would receive within 48hrs. In my opinion, this company is a con.

I'm thinking this as well. They seem to be very dodgy indeed.

I was going to send some gold, but after reading reviews/peoples views, after requesting a gold pak, they paid out the £23! Don't ask me why! Only took them 2 months too.

take your gold to a jewerllers they offer nearly double and the real worth of the gold, my mum went to 3 cash for gold shops and was offered between £380 and £450 but wnet to a jewellers and got paid £680 for it, they are ripping people off big time!

My Quidco cashback has just been declined as well, Not really bothered too much though, Got £13.50 for a few broken earrings and broken rings.

Cashback must be seen as a bonus, I suspect mine was refuse because it was less than 10G of gold, Which it states on Quidco.

"If you are not happy with the valuation and have your gold returned you will not recieve Quidco cashback. Your cashback can take up to 3 months to validate. You must send a minimum of 10 grams of gold to qualify for the cashback offer."

Mine did this, so I rang up cash 4 gold and asked for a tracking number for the parcels and it worked mine got paid last month. Gave them scrap gold worth nothing.

AFTER I sent this firm my gold, they changed their Quidco T&C to require at least 10 grams for cashback - mine was less than 10g. Have complained to Quidco about this apparent fraud, who are investigating. Suggest you do likewise - if enough complain maybe they will be blacklisted.

NB The new 10g T&C doesn't specify if it is 10g of any gold alloy (ie 9 / 18 carat) or 10 g of pure (24 carat) gold - which would be a big difference, and maybe something else they can use to duck payment!

Good info. Thanks for that. I do intend to pursue it. I have submitted a query to Quidco. If they dont pay out then I am going to complain about them to Trading Standards for using affiliate site Quidco to defraud consumers. See what happens with that and raise the profile of the fraud that they are committing. As they are a small and new company then the last thing they want is negative publicity and damage to their company name and image.

Was wondering if mine would pay out, i tbh sent my gold as i was happywith the £25 it was dec i sent got £13 something which well i didn't know if it was good or bad. Took ages to come though and looked at them on the internet SOOOOOOOOO many compliants about them. Banked the cheque int he hope i gte the £25 doubt i will still shows as tracked.

They're robbing things. Then people that complain about prices seem to ahve to wait months and months to get their stuff back if at all!

Thanks for the update. Didnt know that so many people were complaining about them. I think the best thing Quidco can do now is to pay out for those who have gone via Quidco then they should distance themselves from Money4Gold. Quidco's image and brand will be dented if they dont and it be another disappointed treatment of Quidco's paying customers (take note Quidco! :p).

On a more serious note, the more Quidco deals with dodgy companies then the more likely it is to become the focus of some investigation into misleading consumers. If I were Quidco I'd start paying out on the offers that they advertise.

What a joke, these companies need investigating for sure.
You'll get £377 from here if you ever get your gold back, http://www.hattongardenmetals.com/index.aspx
