How can Quidco take just over £30 that was received in my quidco account, back???
Mad, I'm fuming. They have not even replied to my email.
Admin/Paul, you run/own quidco, will you please explain what's going on.
I had a large limit set for transferring the money to my Bank, but if I didn't then that money would have been in my account.

Calm down i'm sure it was a mistake mate

Admin here run quidco? interesting..
#2
What transaction(s) was it regarding?
They only have the right to take a fiver after all.
Was it a transaction that became declined after payment? or a 'fraudulent' payment?

Err Paul here doen't run quidco? ...does he? Always thought 'Paul' was just a coincidence?

Worth having a read of this page.. looks like it's happened before

Thanks, Emmajk42 created it :) I love it.

I don't know what transaction this relates to. Last week I had just over £80 received in my Quidco, Yesterday when I checked it's only £50 received.
No mention of this missing £30.
#6
Not been paid?
Have you added up your transaction value to see what it all adds to?
/See if anything obvious is missing?

This is about the money Quidco have received and is/was in my received column.
Last week £80 odd was there, now it's only £54.
I cannot trace the missing £30 odd and I did not imagine it was there.

its quite likely it was never meant to go into your account in the first place, i've known amounts be there and then be removed at a later date, sometimes the tracking does go wrong and mistracks things.

If you can't figure out where its from, then it would mean that you didnt specifically go for something to get that £30 cashback surely? In which case why worry? Quidco is a nice benefit to us all, and doesn't have to pay us back at the end of the day.

I have about £80 worth of enquiries, some dating to 14 months ago, doubt I'll ever receive them, but no use crying over spilt milk, got £440 in 14 months anyhow excluding the enquiries! Thats £440 more than I would have if it wasnt for quidco!

For sure yes, the Admin owns quidco as well. This forum is effectively the quidco forum. He is quite open about it when asked, as it is not a secret, but it does explain why quidco is so often encouraged :giggle:

I have no way to prove that money was in my received column, other than my O/H. All traces of this transaction has been removed so I cannot even query it.
Of course they have to pay us. We have earned that money by going through Quidco. How much do Quidco make from us?? A lot more than they pay us I'm sure.

By who? Check out most of the posts in this forum - it's the members who are the ones who remind each other to use quidco.

I think people just want to know if Admin of HUKD is the owner of quidco?

Is he?

Well I've had an email if anybody is interested:-

Hello Steve,

One of the networks we work with had a reporting error which caused our
system to report their transactions twice. This would have effected your
Phoneboxdirect and Coolnewmobile transactions. During this period your
account balance would have increased because these transactions were in
our system twice but it would have returned to normal once those were
removed.

You can see a detailed breakdown of your earnings by clicking the
relevant month in My Earnings or by clicking View All.

Kind regards,

Fiona

Rubbish:-
06 Feb 2006 Phoneboxdirect 0.00 30.00 declined n/a

Are Quidco trying to tell me that a transaction that happened nearly 10 months ago has been returned.
What would have happened if the money that had been received and then sent to my bank??
This is something that Paypal do. I cannot see any mention of this happening in their U/A.

Be warned, Quidco can take money back from you months after it has been received. Do you really think they are so good now?
banned#20
From the email it from Fiona, it seems that you got the money twice even though you were only entitled to it once. Later on they took one payment back as you weren't supposed to get it in the first place. Other than the time period (which seems incredibly long to sort out a tracking issue like this) I can't really seem why it's so much of a problem as it wasn't your cashback in the first place!
#21
Repo,
I've NOT had any other payment from phoneboxdirect.
I did get a phone contract from them but now I've lost the £30.00 they had paid.
I only have this one transaction regarding phonebox.

Hope you are fighting your corner with Quidco ..although from my experience with them they are all too keen to wash their hands once they've decided on a query...just keep nagging them .

I will be fighting. I hate bullies and people/companies who think they can do what they want, when they want, to the 'little' guys.

ummm I don't know what you're reading but it doesn't say that at all. Did your receive a payment in the past for phoneboxdirect or coolnewmobile? If so they are saying it was showing as received twice thus it seemed like you had an extra amount in your account but really it was a duplicate. so that duplicate was removed and thus your account balance went down £30.

funny you didn't make a post on here complaining when your account balance went up mysteriously by £30....

Flippin eck.
My Quidco account only had ONE phonebox transaction showing. The one I posted. I have NO payments at all from Phonebox, but I bought a contract through them. The £30.00 payment was returned 10 months after it was received.
I did not post on here when I received the £30.00 because I went through Quidco and started a Mobile phone contract through Phonebox. £30.00 was what Quidco offered for starting a contract at the time with Phonebox.

quoting from the email you said you got:

do you have either phoneboxdirect or coolnewmobile transactions marked as received/paid?

These are the only transactions for Phonebox and CNM. I take out at least 6 new phone contracts a year. I have phone contracts with both companies and phonebox is the one that is NOW missing after nearly 10 months of having received their payment.

It WAS paid and now the money has been removed.
#31
Is that status you copied from your earnings page? It says there it was declined? so how can it have been paid? and if it was paid then what do you care if it says declined?

Yes.
What I am saying is THAT money from Phonebox WAS paid back in February. Quidco have just taken that payment back.
IT WAS PAID AND IS NOW DECLINED.
#33
so the phoneboxdirect £30 was paid to your paypal account in february? then what is the problem? quidco can't take money back from paypal the declined on your quidco page means they aren't going to pay you so if they paid you then you were actually paid £30 that you shouldn't have been paid.

so you're actually £30 ahead then. check your paypal account but it is impossible for them to get £30 out of your paypal account, after they've sent the money it's yours.
#34
Komrade,
This has NOTHING to do with Paypal. The money is paid to me by BACS.
I'll explain again:-
I have a limit set of £100 for payments. If I have less than £100 in Quidco the money that has been received by Quidco on my behalf (or whatever) will stays in Quidco.
Last week the amount that had been received by Quidco dropped by £30. The transaction this relates to is Phonebox and this was over 10 months ago.
#35
ok now you are changing your story. you said two posts above "THAT money from Phonebox WAS paid back in February". so was it paid or not? bacs has only been on quidco since the summer so what you're saying doesn't add up...it's impossible to have been paid in february for this by bacs.

can some other member take this over? this is the most I've ever posted and I think I'm being led down the garden path trying to be helpful...

i think what happened is that you never were paid for this and that it was declined. then as written in the email above your coolnewmobile transaction came in twice as a duplicate received which made your balance go up. that was taken out and it went down. simple as that.
#36
Dambuster. Quidco is not a right. If they have been declined the money, they will take the funds back off you, what you want them to do? Pay out of their own pocket?

They will have been charged £30 by the affliate company. Therefore the charge has been passed on to you.

Think about it, they are not doing anything wrong. They pass the comission onto you, which you accept. So you need to accept they take it back when they have had it taken from them in the same way as they are not going to pass the commision onto you if it does not track and there is no trace.

Fiona is very good with her follow ups. I would think you have been paid twice but you didnt realise. Just because it tracked once, it does not mean that £60 was not paid.

Don't blame quidco for this, will be the phone company you want to aim your blame at.

BACS has not been around long enough for you to have been paid via that method in february anyway.
#37
Komrade,
I KNOW when BACS started. I posted the email from Quidco I received (after asking them for an update on BACS Payments) about it starting.
In August (4th) I was paid £205.68 then on the 31st August I was paid £60.82 by BACS.
Before August I had not been paid because I wanted to wait until BACS had been set up.
After the second payment of £60.82 I changed my settings so that anything under £100 would not be transferred to my Bank.
Phonebox paid in February.
My balance awaiting transfer to my Bank has just gone down by £30.

grdesign,
I have not been paid twice by CNM or Phonebox. I have phone contracts with both companies.
How can you say Quidco is not a right, I used their link to purchase items, they get paid from the Merchants. They are not a Charity, I earned them money as well.
#38
It's not a right at all.

Please see the T&C's, i've copied them here for you (Please don't take it as I'm having a go at you, I just know how merchants run as I have my own affliate accounts)

1. Cashback
When you complete a transaction through the Quidco links you are eligible for the cash back amount specified on the relevant article. Although we do our best to make sure that the depicted cash back amounts are accurate Quidco can not guarantee that they will be accurate at the time of your transaction. Cashback will only be tracked when a member is logged into their account and follows the merchant link from the Quidco site.

All transactions are with the individual merchants and not with Quidco. Quidco has no responsibility or obligation for the merchant transaction.

All transactions are electronically traced through a third-party network and reported back to Quidco by the merchant and network. Quidco will make every effort to make sure the network and merchant report accurate transactions, however Quidco will not be held responsible for errors in transaction tracking or any form of failed tracking. If there is an error in tracking your transaction, Quidco will attempt to recover your cashback directly from the relevant merchant but the merchant's decision is final.

If a transaction is reversed by the merchant or network Quidco will not pay out the relevant cashback. Please see the FAQ section for more information on why transactions are reversed.
#39
grdesign,
I had already read that.
There is no mention of anybody TAKING money back from my received amount (awaiting transfer to my Bank) once paid.

I have a letter from CNM and Phonebox that coincides with Quidco tracking confirming the phone contracts.
#40
The took an amount from your recieved amounts, they didnt take it back out of your bank account. Therefore a transaction has been reversed. It's really simple.
