Its been confirmed that production of the console will stop. Good riddance I say, too overpriced for what it was.

Oh dear to all those who just bought those cheap ones last week.

ooooh, I like paying £30 rather than £10 to play games :(

It's OK, Sony aren't going to come around and stamp on all the currently owned consoles - they just won't be producing any more.

This was still alive?

Thought it had died ages ago.

You are thinking of the Lynx.

PSP Go was a failure from the start. As someone said no one wants to pay £30 for a game they can get on a UMD for £10.

Disasterous decision to change it so dramatically and remove the UMD etc.

Bluetooth and 16GB built in memory does not overpower the lack of PSP games on the PSN store. Nor does it justify selling digital downloads for over 50% more than their physical counterparts.

Long live the 3000.

i was never happy to pay for downloaded games i already had on umd !!!........... i think ds 3D might go the same way.......oO

What difference does it make to them?

Should have known it was going out of production as it was getting tougher to find any store selling the official accessories. The essential cradle for simultaneous tv out and charging was a pain to track down, but turns the pspgo into a mini PS1(.5). Hopefully Sony will keep the Dualshock 3 pairing function for the NGP.

Isn't it just being replaced by the Sony Erisson xperia play / NGP?

Fixed it for you. NGP is the new PSP. Xperia Play is a smart phone with a gamepad.

It doesnt matter to me personally, i bought it 2 weeks ago from the Gamestop offer. Mine got bricked, sent it back to them, got a new one in exchange.

Got the 10 free games...plus i ran the cfw 6.35 hack...so downloaded all the best psp games. 8 gb m2 card holds quite a few games...

bouyght 2 x £8gb m2 cards from cex for tenner and £16gb built in.

Its perfect, so small and sleek to hold, brilliant display...much prefer watching movies on it than itouch. Games are quite good too...

if i had to be totally legit and buy everything i wanted, then its too expensive but as my current set up goes, its perfect.

It's not cool to be a pirate. Use custom firmware for homebrew but only play backups of games you own. Downloading .iso's just destroys the market.

I personally dont like to be a pirate...but unfortunately handhelds always have been quite a common consoles to be hacked. I have a ps3 with over 100 retail games, over 150 blu rays and about 60 psn games...so i do spend but psp go otherwise is just too expensive, while i like its portability and sleekness.

I love handhelds too.
However, people should still support the market and only use cfw for homebrew or backups. You can get Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep for the PSP on shopto for under £11 brand new. Id have no problem if you ripped it and made an .iso/cso backup for it. Although if you downloaded it from a peer2peer website without purchasing it then you're a criminal.

If the PSN store is too expensive for you (it can be for me too) then wait until a game gets cheap and buy it from a reputable seller then use it on your cfw.

I wasn't being hostile mate.
I too like the size of the PSP Go and it's bluetooth features are great. Its tempting to buy one so I can use a Dualshock 3 controller to play PSP games on my tv.

Also, Sony's high pricing has is as much to blame for the downfall of the PSP as piracy is. However, prices will always remain high and 'less quality' games will be developed due to piracy. It is a vicious cycle. Although I can strongly say that if piracy didn't exist then games would be developed more better without the annoying online pass codes, etc

Its not a problem, i understand it which is why i am against jb on ps3...if psp go had a umd, i wouldnt be hacking it...normal psp seems too big. Tbh its the first time in life i have done cfw on anything...i be back to supporting developers when ngp is launched...tho i still buy from psn alot...just a few games i wanted were too expensive and i wanted to play them...

but i agree with u that i piracy shouldnt be there, but developers should concentrate on making games reasonably priced too...it goes hand in hand.
