You could make a belt that holds a load of buckets so that when you run people can throw money at you and into the buckets!!
Might need a sort of bowl at the top of the buckets to make sure money doesn't bouce out when you run.

Or you could just set up a just giving account...

i have done that, was trying to think of extra things to bump it up, i have been told whatever i raise wil be matched, so the more i can get the better

I used to work as a fundraiser...one of the easiest and quickest ways to raise money quickly would be doing bag packing at your local supermarket, you borrow some buckets and security seals from the charity and collect on their behalf. All you need is permission from the supermarket and no other permits. You could also try contacting your local theatre and holding a collection when a performace ends make sure you send a card backstage so the star of the show mentions your collecting and people have money ready). Open up a justgiving account as gift aid is easily added.

Another supermarket lol?!!? Go with the theatre thing if you can, its a shame its not panto season, 10 people can collect around 2K at the end of a panto...alot of money for 10 minutes!

Yes contact them directly but they will probably have to OK it with the ballet company. Ask them to do as few or as many nights as they will allow. I would just collect at the end of the performance at all doors to the venue.
