I am thinking of asking santa for a radio control helicopter for christmas, i expect santas budget to be upto £80ish

could someone provide some advice on which one i should ask santa for? i had had a play with the super cheap ones and werent really impressed with their 5minute charge, and i know there are more expensive gas powered ones - i am hoping for one in the middle of the range

Your only going to get 5-10 mins flight time with any electric helicopter
for £80 you'll just be able to get one thats a larger scale and more proned to damage

How many channels do you want....do you won't counter rotational or one with just the two blades.

ESky Honey Bee or Honey bee 2 is a good 4ch heli for a beginner and comes with a free flight sim from some sellers.

I'm not too sure, I don't really understand what the number of channels mean - could you elaborate?
