RAM questions

I have a packard bell imedia S3810 motherboard and am thinking about upgrading my RAM using the these:

However I only know my pc can run 1333Mhz ram as they are currently running them and using google I can't find in my pc supports the faster ones. does anybody know if my pc would support them or has another way to find out if they do?

Use the crucial online scanner to check the type suitable.

It should be fine. Something to note though, if you're going from 8GB PC 1333MHz to 1600MHz, don't bother. There isn't any performance gain.

how much ram do you currently have, why do you think you require more and what is your OS?

I currently have 3gb and I run windows 7 64-bit but I may upgrade to windows 8 unsure for now. I'm a computer science student at uni so I can get windows 8 for free. I was planning on using to to help run games more efficiently and stuff.
