Is it possible to have your little toes removed?

I cant find anything on google about it, and some people have mentioned it would nack up your balance?

I deteste my little toes, they are ugly and cause me pain and desperatley want them chopped off!

This is an actual serious question, a wierd one i know but please try and give me some serious answers!

I'm sure you can, in some dodgy back street surgery in Mexico.

In this country, no.

I am sure their was a cricketer that lost his little toe and lost his sense of balance and had to pack up.

Googling it seems to suggest it has no effect really, moreso if it is your big toe.

I had 5 tendons cut in my toes when I was little, hasn't stopped me from standing up and out running most of the competition. It wouldn't mess up your balance. If it is causing you pain visit your GP who will chop it off with a local anaesthetic

Patients with the controversial diagnosis of body integrity identity disorder (BIID) report an emotional discomfort with having a body part (usually a limb) that they feel should not be there. This discomfort is so strong that it interferes with routine functioning and, in a majority of cases, BIID patients are motivated to seek amputation of the limb. Although patient requests to receive the best available treatment are generally respected, BIID demands for amputation, at present, are not.

I am not a shoe fan, i would never get my toes off to fit into a pair! I am a ridiculous size 8, and thats the size i wear, i live in flats and trainers!

I never really have my toes out so its nothing cosmetic really, i just want them off i hate them. they are always red, seem to turn under my foot and dont even have a nail on them, utterly disgusting

A mate of mine ripped his off (going down a slide - ouch!) when we were about 11. It did affect his balance but only for a matter of days (after he could walk again). Your body is pretty good at compensating for changes and, at best, your little toe can only act as a small stabilser.

...or give a 5 toed foot job!!
Sorry I'm bored in the office, couldn't help myself.

I think if you want this done you would have to pay privately, you will get all the pros and cons at the initial consultation.

Yep - it would have to be done privately, there's no way the NHS would foot the bill!

Best question i've ever seen on here wd.

Could you not get them chryogenically frozen in case you ever lose a finger?

Then again you gotta be careful it could snowball you could start wanting other stuff removed you have to know where to toe the line.
