Looks like the deal will be going ahead.

So, is he any good?

Plenty of rangers fans not happy about him leaving........?

I'm a celtic supporter so I'll be glad to see him go.

He's a great goal scorer, some previous managers have said he doen't do enough during games but his job is to put the ball in the net which he does often.

I'd be gutted if I was a rangers fan

Good goalscorer. Sh1te attitude... apparently.

He's the hardest working footballer in the world.

The James Brown of football! - Only kidding he's pish!

Scores goals against diddy teams which meas he'll get you in the prem but will not keep you there. Good signing for you guys though but not Rangers class to be honest.

More or less what we have heard really.

Not many bluenoses are that excited at his arrival to be honest.

If he scores goals then fine, but if he struggles and then hasnt got the attitude or workrate to turn it round then blues fans wont tolerate it.

Plus, if he was that good, he wouldn't be signing for birmingham city !!

he's a frustrating player as he has bags of skill and has scored some great goals but he's a lazy lump with a big chip on his shoulder - the way he threw the dummy out the pram and walked out of the Scotland squad says it all really....

lol if I didn't laugh i'd cry.

The whole thing is entirel down to smith. The guy has been given £28 million to spend since he came back and we are still playing with 4 centre backs, at the end of last season we had 36 strikers no midfielders so he then goes and spends £3.5 mill on mcculloch crappier wee brother lafferty. throws 2million to derby for kenny misser and another million for somebody allegedly who does exist called velicka.

What happens we are left to play christian dailly and mcculloch in the centre of midfield in the biggest game of the season oh and he never started boyd in either of the games against kaunas. genious.

Panicked because we have no midfielders he then goes and spends £10million on 3 of them now we have them coming out our ears so much so that davis is stuck wide right while captain fantastic plods his way in the centre getting in mendes way until he finally quits with his dodgy ankles/ knee/hernia whatever other injury will be his excuse for being gash again this season.

Oh I better stop now as I could go on for hours. As for boyd he'll score for fun against the gash teams but he'll be blowing out his proverbial against the likes of wolves etc and now gary ocoonor will have a drinking/snorting buddy down with him so happy days.

It's down to Murray mate - he's in control of the club's finances, not Smith. Rangers are in the serious doo-dah money-wise, and he has to control the debt to make your club an asset worth flogging off. Currently, no one wants to buy into the massive debt at Ibrox.

Boyd is staying at Rangers..........couldn't agree terms apparently.

From what i hear from brum, he is wanting £20k a week, blues are willing to pay £12k plus bonuses and all that......this seems to be the sticking point.

With all transfers, until he puts pen to paper nothing is guarenteed.

yeah but smith has thrown away the best part of £30 million on dross which wasn't able to get us into the champions league were we'd be about £10 million richer and not have to flog off the only assests we have left. Due to smith squandering the cash murray rightly or wrongly gave him we're now being forced to flog anything that isn't nailed down. Just a pity that nobody wants the likes of lafferty, mcculloch, dailly, velicka, whittaker, edu, etc.

wee chrissy burke is on his way to cardiff for £150,000. He's flying down as we speak to finalise a deal.

He finally gets on at caley sets up a goal, scores in a closed door game yesterday and he's the one shown the door yet mcculloch is still here getting fergies irn bru and monster munch every morning. truly baffling.

as for boyd I now doubt that there'll be a long queue of clubs at the door wanting him so he'll be given a sweetener to get to birmingham much the same way hutton pocketed £1million to go to spurs last year. Probably a few bottles irn bru, a couple of quid and a cuddle from barry should be enough to get him to brum.

oh no....................that my nece's year ended already.........................he is all over her walls and everything she does/speaks about is related to him-when you are 14 and Rangers mad its the end of your world !

To be fair, noone would take McCulloch even if he wanted to sell him.

He is by far the worst "footballer" I have ever seen. Can't pass, can't shoot, can't head, can't tackle and no pace. I wonder why Smith chased him for sooooo long. He must have knew what to expect when he was Scotland manager!
