Just tried to book some tickets for a show using my gift cards that ok we have had for a while they have just told me that they have expired and not valid, they told me that they are only valid for 12…

Just tried to book some tickets for a show using my gift cards that ok we have had for a while they have just told me that they have expired and not valid, they told me that they are only valid for 12mths from date of purchase i have stated that when i take money out of my bank it doesnt tell me i have to spend it by a certain date. things like this really annoy me they are scamming people.....

They are scammers.....I just booked tickets for Disney on ice...£15.50 a ticket! Not too bad...but then they charge £2.50 PER TICKET handling and another £1.75 to post it!!! Rip off!!!!!!!!!

Seeing as above, you really should read terms and conditions before buying.

appreciate that however when they did normal paper gift vouchers they never had an expiry date then companies introduced the card gift voucher and they give you a limit to spend your money i appreciate companies have T&C's however i dont believe they should instruct you when you should spend your gift card

didnt buy them they were a gift for b'day you know what its like people buy you vouchers you dont want anything from the company at the time you put them in your draw you then want to make a purchase and find they have expired :x

Easy way to avoid this situation use the card within the 12 months simples!!

There is not a ticket retailer under the sun that doesnt charge a booking fee or postage

Oh dear, we've got about £150 worth in a box from 3 years ago, there's never been anything on near us we wanted to see. . . .

why should there be anything wrong? the OP is ranting because of a prblem of their own making and then trying to use an argument that holds no water to back up their claims

If there's no expiry on the gift card it's not really a problem of their own making is it???

And the question more referred to the constant gloating, there'll be a lot of happy people on here the day you get caught out with something...... :whistling:
