Not really, they've been talking about it for months, much like Bungie.

Yes and I think there will be others to follow from both formats, it just makes no sense for dev teams to stay exclusive anymore, doubt neither Sony or Microsoft will lay down the amount of cash needed to compete with the amount of consoles and potential multi format sales out there now. Other than maybe timed exclusives.

Yes they are. Plus other PS3 exclusives.

Don't see any reason why they won't continue with those games and as Sony own the rights to them they could easily do as MS have done with Halo and create another dev team to continue on.

"Does this deal mean that there won’t be any more future PS3 exclusive games from the studio?"
No, they haven’t announced anything else but there’s every chance that there’ll be more in the Ratchet and Clank and Resistance series.

Being a dual console 360/PS3 owner I think this bit from the main article may ring true -

"It’s likely that yesterday’s news of Insomniac’s partnership with EA to produce multiplatform games hit you one of three ways".

1.Ideally, you’re a platform agnostic multi console owner who greeted the news with delight, knowing that Insomniac will be working on fresh new IPs and spreading the word about their talents.

2. Equally, though, you might have been a Xbox 360-only owner who didn’t really know much about Insomniac or their games, and are now curious as to what lies ahead.

3. And finally you’re a hardcore PlayStation fanboy who’s loved Insomniac’s Sony-based games for years and feel like you’ve been stabbed in the back.

How pathetic an individual would you have to be to fall under the last category. I seriously doubt anybody would be that bothered about the news?
