Very is Littlewoods. Decent website, even better if you can find a voucher code. Ordered some T shirts at 5pm a few weeks back, the next day they were on my door step for 7am.

Watch out when using vouchers.

They also very often have great offers.... which you buy online.... and get cancelled after you chase up.

You get told "dont worry, we havent taken any money", only to learn they have taken already the postage charge. You then end up having to call them to get a refund because they sure as hell are not going to volunteer it.

Personal opinion...... avoid like the plague.

I've used them, every time i've managed to have vouchers or offers from here that made it worthwhile doing. Never had a problem with anything until ordered a bed for my nephew. It was due to be delivered within 2 weeks then when i checked it said it had already been delivered. Took quite a few phonecalls to get to the bottom of what happened, as as it turned out, it was all fine and arrived on time. Definitely look for the voucher codes and offers first, especially as a first time buyer.

when you made the account did you have to sign the credit agreement? also it may be a silly question but what is the credit agreement mate?

Credit agreement is because when you sign up at littlewoods, marshall ward, very etc its like a store card.

You have the option to pay it all off or you can spread the cost over a year, sometimes interest free for a certain amount of time.

Works for some people, but others just want to pay full whack.

They will offer you 200 to 500 quid on account as soon as you sign up.

I had a voucher for £30 off £60 spend as a NEW customer. Couldn't get the code to work so phoned up, they explained it was for "credit account". So I did it over the phone and ordered a vacuum cleaner and paid off the balance 3 weeks or so later. The end. No problems. I believe voucher claw back problems may come when you aren't a brand new customer but pretend to be one. Delivery was a week later if that.

Vouchers are fine as long as they aren't abused, i opened up an account with each company and used £30 off £60 spend, haven't used the sites since.

Its when people start using the code 10 times on the 1 site and make it obvious

there's a massive thread on MSE re discount codes, free delivery etc if you can't find one on here

ZZ450 £30 off £60 spend first order only - might still work, there is always one around but they change.

If a credit account is paid off nicely it would probably improve your credit rating, imo.

I've ordered for very etc about 7 times.

3 of these orders were cancelled because they had no stock, on all three occasions I never recieved a refund for the P&P and I had to phone them up and explain to them that they hadn't refunded P&P.

Worst part of this was that they never emailed or telephoned me to say the orders were cancelled, I only knew when I checked my online banking and saw the refunds in my account.

This is enough reason for me to stop using a company, I can't trust them, nearly 50% of my experience of them has been negative.

Yup..... and every month or so there is a thread complaining about this "very" thing. (No pun intended)

And annoyingly, they keep sending me emails of their "offers". I seem unable to get removed from their mailing list, despite a link in these emails to get yourself removed.

Its just a shame that people dont report these postage charges to their banks and credit cards as with enough complaints they will act on the info which would hopefully stop them from charging for imaginary offers / postage.

I opened an account with littlewoods to buy something for £60 all ok when they opened a credit account for me but if you dont intend to use the account again like me then make sure you pay off the balance and close the account because after 3 months i checked my credit file and they had upped my credit limit to £6200 which does not look good on your credit file because you have unused available credit of a large amount. They dont inform you of credit limit increases which imo is not good.

I've found it fine - ordered a few times and always got the stuff when they stated. Also the codes have worked for me which they gave me no problem. Got £30 off a £60 spend recently. the credit thing is quite good - it means when you order something you can either choose to add to your account (and pay off either in 3 interest free instalments or over time) or just pay in full when checking out. Been lucky enough never to have had problems.

This company has an atrocious attitude towards its customers. I ordered a washer dryer with a service agreement. The machine was delivered and installed by the engineer Very organised. My wife realised later that the machine was not as described on the ad so she contacted Very who told her that it was a mistake on their part, however as the machine had been installed it could not be returned plus the service agreement they are paying for was invalid as it wasn't for the right machine.

Very refuse to deal with this situation and seem to think that Trade Laws do not apply to them. They are blaming wife and I for Very's mistakes!!! Very think that they can ride rough shod over its customers? Well, they not heard the last from this as Trading Standards are now involved!
