Saw Paramore in 2007 at Earls Court (Give it a Name) and they were good.

Line up looks ace, site looks like its on meltdown.

The only one on there that really interests me is NOFX.

Pro Tip: Refuse all drink from Fat Mike. Especially Tequila.

Download suits me more personally.

Are you going Download this year? Their last announcement was pretty poor...

I'd love to go to some of these festivals & take my lad, but the ticket prices are way too much for me, i do understand for a normal ticket concert price you are only seeing one act, where as a festival ticket covers a fair few bands, but still out of my price range :-(

I really don't know yet as the line-up isn't hugely inspiring to me, but there's plenty more acts to be added. I can't afford to throw away £X away if there's only a handful of bands I'm interested in.

It's only 5 miles down the road from me, so I could get a ladder and peek over the fence ;-)

PAH if I were not up the duff, I could have got tickets and stayed in the comfort of my own home overnight, would have liked the line up this year.
#18
Nme tent is so much better than the main headliners ! Axel rose will pull out!
#19
Typical I buy tickets for Friday and the one band I want to see is playing on Sunday.
#20
would love to go but currently skint :( (and i said i'd go camping that weekend with a few friends )

saw GnR on their last tour a few years ago at Nottingham. Axl was about 40mins late on stage, but he doesnt half give an incredible performance. best frontman i've ever seen.

It is like a GnR tribute band. I would rather see Slash than "Axl Rose and Friends"

Ideal!! I am off to Sonisphere this year. Iron Maiden and Rammstein is quality. Those two along with Alice Cooper (in my opinion) trump AC/DC, RATM and Aerosmith.

well i got my ticket. I agree not the best the line-up but looking forward to a few of them, Blink, Libertines, Arcade fire (although can't see why the headline over libertines), biffy, lostprohets and enter shikari :D

I went the year after the toilet riot hoping for some more anarchy, all i got was exploding gas canisters.

Reading and Leeds are Blinks only English shows in 2010.

I went the year of the serious rioting. Can't remember which year, the one with Foos and Strokes headlining. I slept through it all.

Bar stewards will have to give them some abuse. The wife has said we need to talk about it first before i can buy the tickets (i'm at work).

You are joking, right?

If you work out how many bands you would watch and the quality of the bands then the price of £180 is VERY good. It is only overpriced if you are outpriced.

Blink 182 = £40
GnR = £60 (possibly)
Arcade Fire = £30 (not my cup of tea so I probably undervalue these)
Limp Bizkit = £30
Weezer = £30
Paramore = £30
Cypress Hill = £30

So that is £250.

Then throw in The Libertines, Biffy Clyro, Lost Prophets, NOFX, Dizzee Rascal, Billy Talent and Queens of the Stone Age.

I was also under the impression that this was a full English tour.

I've only ever been to the Download festival once, which I believe was the first one in 2003 when Iron Maiden were headlining (I did go to Ozzfest, which I'm sure you know was post-Monsters of Rock and pre-Download). Since then I've either been away when the bands I like have been playing or the line-up, in my opinion, doesn't justify the price tag. I'd rather spend the money seeing individual gigs rather than paying to see a couple of bands I like at a festival.
