Real Madrid seem to be buying everyone so who's next????? sentanta , newcastle lol. Also how can these clubs afford it, they say the likes of real and utd are the richest clubs in the world but dont utd owe £300 million? So what does real owe just cant see how these clubs continue to spend and get in debt, The bubble has got to burst one day and the great game will be destroyed......

Their debt is like security of a mortgage on a house.

Real will buy (or at least try to) Villa, Ribery, Aguero and probably Ibrahimovic.

It's not Utd in the debt, it's the Glazers. they just moved their debt from elsewhere onto Man Utd's books.

Word on the street in Madrid is that Real have made a 60 million pound bid to make Titus Bramble their next "galactico", and help solve their defensive worries.

Real don't have debt, they are essentially bankrolled by the national bank of spain.
#8
City of Madrid covers them from what I hear, no taxes on all their spending.

It's because they want to upscale Barca, and Real still have the biggest turnover of any other football club in the world.

they get paid double the amount for tv rights than man utd somewhere around 130 million quid a season and are loaned by local spanish banks who are under political social pressure not to call in the debts.....they are treated like the national side......dont forget the huge rivalries as well in that region

So if Real wants to pay Kaka £8 million after tax, it would cost them about £10 million a year at 23% tax rate, whereas it would cost Manchester United £16 million (thanks to the new 50 percent top marginal rate in England).

Over five years, that’s a difference of £30 million on just one player. Multiply that £30 million by three or four players and it is easy to see why Real can afford the salaries they can.

Finally, there’s Real’s status as, effectively, a non-profit social trust. This means they do not need to generate £30 million a year just to service their debt (like United). Most of Madrid’s debt is held with local banks, many of whom are under political and social pressure not to tighten the screws. Real are too big and too important to fail or to come under the kind of debt pressures that affect traditional clubs. The club’s social, political, and economic significance dwarfs that of any other club in the world.

Pretty much. It's why Manchester United are a feeder club for them! :p

It is Manchester Uniteds debt, is after all Manchester United paying it off not the Glazer family.

Chelsea bid for David Villa apparently.

His agent told them not to bother as a deal with RM is at a very advanced stage.
