I got it from a local second hand shop who didnt believe it to be genuine however I think it is. It supposed to be 18k rhodium plated yellow gold and i guess with diamonds. Has written on time piece inside 17 Jewel and is in working order. No Documents. It was just adcertised as ladies silver bracelet omega watch.

most second hand shops would have that sort of thing checked out with a jeweller before selling, I wouldn't have thought it would be genuine to be fair.
#6
any serial number?

check with manufacturer?

Well it either has or not. I phoned an Omega dealer today and there is a possibility as this watch was made in the 40s and it was only then that this design was made to look like silver however as you can see by the scratch on the back there is definately a hint of yellow gold. It looks old enough... Will find out more tomorrow but thanks for your reply

Cannot see it being real diamonds from a second hand shop and the shop saying it was fake and its not ? but you may have been lucky.

Well I watch a lot of Antique shows and yes I could be lucky. U never know what you may pick up for a £1 or so boot fair or shop and find its worth a lot more
#11
How much did you pay ?
You say its from the 40s it looks that old so it maybe real good luck.

I would like to keep the payment to myself. I hope you dont mind

lol 50p.

I hope it's a real one for you. You can pick up bargains-people sometimes don't realise what they have.

I bought a pair of straighteners for my mum from a bootsale. Were covered in muck-turned out to be foundation-think they must have been kept in a make up bag. Paid £1. Cleaned them off and, as I thought, were limited edition real deal GHDs. Still going strong and better than mine!

Ok first of all I have just managed to locate the serial number and 16203 means its 2 tone 18k yellow gold smooth bezel..... I paid £75 it was priced £125 he just wanted to make his money back the shop owner paid. He paid £80 and knocked him down a fiver as I maybe brought something off him earlier in the day and didnt mind losing a fiver. Thats my opinion anyway

It looks almost identical to the one that I purchased in Turkey on a market stall, cost £3 in year 2000, I am almost certain mine had that same serial number as well, I sold mine down the pub as a fake, I got a tenner for it.

Good luck with yours.

C'mon, did you seriously think that a dealer was going to be selling the real thing to you for that kind of money, I bet he had a good laugh when he had your money in his till.

Put it down to experience.
